@Kyyle 3~4 months to be exact. The font still isn't finished.
Voltage is a thick, bold, and sharp typeface that makes you feel that electric spark through your body. This typeface was inspired by many of my interests such as gaming and rock/metal music. I wanted to create a typeface that really expresses who I am down to my hobbies in addition to art. Voltage can be used in headers or logo for music albums, video games, or even energy drinks. The sharp edges and slice through the side of the glyphs gives the viewer and user that thrilling and dynamic charge!
My first digitally rendered typeface that focused around the theme of energy and its synonyms. I wanted to explore a typeface that would create the illusion of movement without using decorative elements such as gradients, serifs or superfluous details.
The minimalistic approach was inspired by typefaces designed by Paul Rand and the concept was inspired by 'sans forgetica'
This is a cloneThis font is based on how energy is radiated. I created the font using circles as halftones to show motions of energy through word form, there's a range of two different intesties if energy in the typeface. The basis of the font has a curved systematic approach a restriction to the circles only being a quarter, half or whole (or double sized) so that the ascenders, descenders and width matches throughout.
This is a clone"Energy" was created with my chosen theme "energetic". I developed my ideas from researching into neon light lettering and after that, looked into circuit boards. I then created guidelines which I would create the fonts within in order to make my type font as consistent as I could. This is version 2; very similar to version 1 but with minor tweaks.
This is a clone'Fold' was inspired by the theme 'energetic', and coveying movement within a form that doesn't move. I thought about how things fold, creating this type face in which the letters follow the same 'folding' movement.
This font i created is based on the theme word Ambitious. I traced back to the 1980s and took inspiration from there. These are considered the years of individual aspiration and cultural diversity. People were more ambitious, expressive and they were creating their own identities and attitudes. So i wanted to create a font that looks bold and energetic to represent that ambitious attitude.
This font originates from the adjective 'Energetic'. It's stable centre and shakey outer layer represents the effect of consuming copious amounts of energy stimulating substances, usually resulting in a case of Caffeine Jitters.
Focus-Point typeface stemmed from a chosen theme, energetic. As I developed my ideas I looked closer at dynamic movement as a form of energy. I also wanted to demonstrate how energy can be wild or focused on one thing. The connecting joints of the typeface show the energy focused on one stationary point before and after it explosively moves across the page to form the remainder of the letter.
