So this is basically how you can design each letter of the alphabet using 2x4 wooden planks. I can also show you the difficulty level for some of these letters. For example: the letters L, T, and I are the easiest to make, letters like R (which is what I'm gonna make) is in the medium level, and the letter G is the hardest to make. Examples of letters that have similar difficulty levels include Q and O (where Q is just an O with an extra thing at the bottom), E and F (where E is just an F with an extra 45° angle at the bottom), and W and M (exactly the same difficulty, with W just being an M upside-down). But, even though G and C have similar shapes, the letter G having an extra line makes it indeed much harder to make than the letter C, making it actually the hardest to make out of all the letters.
Bloac Typeface is an experimental typography study project. The objective of the work was to develop typography that expressed its own identity and was consistent with the formal archetypes of the Latin alphabet. The design guideline chosen was to create the set in uppercase, in the regular style. The display custom font, inspired by building forms, carries the anatomical construction based on geometry, also brings the repetition of the rectangular stem as an identity element. Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery back together by sealing the cracks with gold - built on the idea that embracing flaws and imperfections, you can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art, this is idea is also a metaphor for self growth 'rebirth'. The typeface is designed to replicate the cracks in kintsugi ceramics. I wanted to create a bold font to suggest strength and how imperfections and flaws can make people stronger and even the strongest of people go through hardship.
I created this typeface based on the theme ‘Hope’. While being or becoming blind is extremely hard, there is always light after the dark, even for the people who cannot see. I tried to include every character from the Braille alphabet (white dots) to the original English alphabet (black dots), so it would be learnt and understood easily.
Subtract is a minimalist typeface, reducing detail to the simplest legible form of each character, using a fluid mix of curved and linear forms for an aesthetic that is refined, uncluttered, precise and stylish.

This is a font inspired by the word 'systematic'. My main influence when creating this font was archiecture and the form of buildings. I focused strongly on lines and the grid system as I felt this really fit the theme of 'systematic' and archiecture as both remind me of acting according to a fixed plan or system; methodical.This is a clone
This font was the final production for a project designing my own font based upon the theme 'squishy'. The design concept was to use different shapes and angles to create the feel that each letter has been compressed or squished in some aspect.

This type was made in our class of typhografy, we are from Portugal and we want to show you our work. This font have very elegant forms and contrast between stems, so that's why our font called "alterna" that means alternate in english. It's apropriate for tittles but you can use it for other things only as long as it's bigger than 20pt.
I designed this font based on the word 'Thunderous'. My thinking in how the word relates is due to the Norse God Thor. I then started to look in to old Norse culture, this got me interested in runes. So with deeper research in to the Futharks spawned this type.

MOS 2018 /moʊz twɛntɪ eɪtin/ is a minimalistic, designy font aiming to simplify English lowercase letterforms as much as possible while keeping them recognizable to some degree, using a 3x3 grid.
Designed for those members who want inspiration, it could guide them when they need ideas on which to base a font.
Use this like a font: close your eyes and type a 'word' with at least 7 letters.
If you can touch-type: forget it; you'll need to be quite unstructured in order to get a good variation of letters every time you want inspiration ;) If you want some uncertainty -bad spelling will be very helpful here;)- you could write the 'name' of the minute when you decided to get inspiration for a new font , inUpperCase ... then follow this with one of your names in LowerCase. But for fun and better chance at not getting the same word every time you need inspiration I suggest you just hit different keys and then look at the line of glyphs ;)
Just remember: use UpperCase to write the first part of this word, the LowerCase to write the other part of the word. Look at the [second or] fourth and the [penultimate or] third before last letter of your 'word'.
The UC will give you an 'image'. Your font will transmit the meaning illustrated by this letter (in the widest sense).
The LC gives the type of look your font should have. You now have 2 guides/ideas/starting points which influence the kind of font you make.
Remember that the UC should make you look at concepts, invisible messages and your own experience or lack of 'ken', as well as the visible things in the images I drew.
To express that differently:
Your font design is guided by a main theme (based on the UC) and a way to present it/a style of expression (based on the LC).The font will be influenced a little or a lot by each UC 'image'; you adjust the look of your font according to the "feeling"/a memory/a dream or wish/an experience/lack of familiarity that you have about what that which my playful pixel illustration represents.
The presentation of the font, the style, how the eye slides across to absorb information or spends time to investigate the beauty or quality of every glyph, is determined by the LC. Combine these two aspects from UC and LC, that"s what your font will convey through the shapes of th glyphs.
In my 'comment' below I give you a few ideas of what could be linked to each of the UC letters; it's up to your areas of study, experience, interest, and the time you want to use for designing and building your fonts, which -if any- of the proposed words and concepts I mention will be the one(s) you want to combine with the type of presentation you found in the LC letter.
Choose a good name for your font, it's probably a good idea to have a name that isn't the keyword I gave in the UC list -- I can imagine that those key words have long been taken by font designers for their fonts.
Note: the "INSPIRED FONT" is still in development; when I have more illustrations for objects, situations, feelings etc or styles of presentation (I am open to suggestions!) I will try to find a suitable design to add to the glyphs as there are still a few empty slots in the Basic Latin set ;)

the typeface was adapted from "nasi pecel" one of traditional food from indonesia. The food consisted of rice and a lot of vegetables. One of the vegetables is bean sprout that taken most of the idea to make this typeface especially the semi script one.

This font was made for street food vendor which we call PKL. My team got tahu campur which means mixed tofu. Inspired by the tofu, I made the font literally square like a tofu (lol).
