This font was designed around the theme word Elegant. I was inspired to create a typeface that was ornate and palatial; it is a ode to Baroque design.
I have tried to emulate columns for the body of the font and created a crowned frieze for some of the letters with decorative toppers for the remaining characters.
This a typeface designed to echo the shapes and patterns found across manholes which cover our network of systems across the UK. Manhole covers have been beautifully decorated with patterns but also act as indicators and safety features. Both patterns and the shaping of letterforms are inspired by manhole covers I have found. Designed to be a display typeface at large scales!
Celtic calligraphy font with spiral detailing inspired by the triskelion symbol. The concept behind the symbol and therefore the typeface is of rebirth - and more specifically the cycle of life, death and rebirth - symbolised by the spiral motifs.
Based on the theme of 'Systematic'. My research led me into compulsions which in turn became developing my own system where I surrendered control and randomly generated a variant of a Triangle, an angle to rotate it to and then a cell it would go into. This would then be removed to create the final letterform. Designed to be a display typeface.
The font TOREN takes its name from a sentient spaceship in the “Ancillary” series by Ann Leckie and is designed as a futuristic display font. Much of the inspiration for this font came from studying science-fiction film posters and book covers which is where the name originated. Important information to know about the font is it is only uppercase and works best as a stand-alone graphic element.
Title/large bold font for the Tonsen brand of fictional phones.
This is a clone of Tonsen BoldRegular font for the Tonsen brand of fictional phones.
This is a clone of Tonsen BoldI created this typeface around the theme of gregarious, focusing on gregarious plants. I started with drawing the letterforms in ink using a rolled up leaf. The results were twig-like marks which reminded me of the illustrations from 'A Monster Calls' so I developed the letters thinking how they could work alongside this or another story. The name 'This Wild Earth' is taken from the book and I think reflects the scratchy and bold feel of the typeface.
