"Dazzle camouflage was a form of camouflage not meant to conceal ships, but to make it make it harder to guess their distance, direction, and speed."

This font is similar, in regards that the letters are hard to discern and appreciate, especially in regards to their similarly-shaped cousins (B/C, E/F, N/O, etc.)

BRAIN POWER

This type face was inspired by the word "energetic", the optical illusion theme deceives the eye and appears to be bend and curved in areas. The energy comes from the deception your brain; the longer you stare, the more you see. I studied mazes and other opticall illusions before coming to this outcome, shading was important as it makes the letters more realistic and 3 dimentional.

Hello! This is CUBE30, a simple isometric font, inspired by Escher's work and pixel-y stuff. This is still a work in progress, so I'll probably make it available for everyone soon. Hope you like it!

Initially made for NW & SW European members' languages this typeface has grown over time to include glyphs for most European languages. My friend Ray will be happy to see Welsh and my friend Johneen can write in Maori :)

Thanks to TCWhite I've found the 2E2E point to place my favourite punctuation/symbol correctly.

I've sent this to be rewiewed for Google Fonts. Having done so I'm stuck, I don't know how to proceed there: how can I get people to look at it, comment?!

The idea behind my font is having a shape then bending it round continuously without any breaks/gaps to create the letterforms. I have always enjoyed working with circles through out my design work and it so happened to be a recurring theme through out my font. I experimented many ways on creating circles using FontStruct - this proved difficult. I did some research on how other designers created their circular based fonts. Many used the circle bricks by nudging and layering to create an illusion of a circle. I feel that my font could be used both large and small scale. In large scale you can see the non-smoothness of the curves and makes it seem caterpillar like which may appear ugly to some. In small scale it is the opposite - the circles appear perfect and the curves look smooth. My font is very simple which makes it legible to read in both scales.

The font Flomotion is the outcome to my first semester at UWE, studying Graphic Design. The task was to create a full typeface on the font building website, fontstruct.com. The final design had to relate to a chosen theme, my chosen theme for this project was Motion in which I pursued the subject of optical illusions. I liked the idea of trying to create a false sense of movement with a font, taking inspiration from existing optical illusions with the same effect. This then led me to look at the 'Op' art movement of the 1960's, in particular the extensive work of Bridget Riley. Her use of black and white line giving the illusion of depth had a big influence on my work and I think my final design reflects this.

These fontstructions come resurrected thanks to Aphoria's trick of editing on a full screen with keyboard shortcuts in Firefox. Originally inspired by Funk King back when everyone was releasing 3D fontstructions. I gave up because it was too much of a hassle to scroll up and down to edit a full glyph. Now, not so much. Frodo7's Sierpinski series has also given me new ideas for rendering alternate letter forms. Can you see what I'm talking about?
