POLYGON WINDOW filled version
This is a clone of STF_POLYGON WINDOWThis should have been a minimum font, but minimum can't do color.
The idea was to simulate transparency. After trying out multiple color hatch patterns, it was apparent that it is not going to work. The earlier attempts are left in the font for you to judge yourself their efficacy.
The file is pretty heavy because of having so many anchor points (times 8 layers). Scrolling will be slow. Because the next letter overlapping the previous hides part of the black outline, just outline glyphs are there to stack two layers (colored below, outline above) to get the correct effect.
Is there some trick to make the downloaded font to work in color? The version I downloaded comes as *-svg.ttf. Aren't the color svg fonts in .otf format? Thus, no sample.
Another tribute to the great Dutch graphical designer/pioneer "Jurriaan Schrofer".
This time I didn't do a straight foreward recap of a specific work from the great man, but rather had myself inspired by a number of his sketches and combined those ideas all into this type! (Nonetheless ofcourse still heavily inspired by..)
Here are a few of the original works I drawn inspiration from:
"A.S.C. COMMUNICATIONS, SEMINOTICS, SIGNAGE SYSTEM PTT 1975 (Dutch Post Office) , BEURS VAN BERLAGE, UNREADABLE ALPHABET"
This is a clone of STF_JS-SANS SEVERE (MULTILINE)Working under the theme of 'Rebirth', I have focused my first font on the idea of post-war architecture, or otherwise commonly known as modernist/brutalist architecture. Buildings constructed following the Second World War were built using new technologies of construction. These types of designs were known for their use of modern materials such as concrete and steel as well as their interesting geometrical forms. I was heavily influenced by the architecture featured in Owen Hopkins' book 'Lost Futures' which looks at the disappearing architecture of post-war Britain and how changing external contexts played a role in the subsequent destruction of these buildings.
Inspired by the starting point 'elegant' , this font was developed looking at the structure of constellations, and how a number of different points can be interpreted into images. The fine, interconnected lines of the typeface reflect the delicate and subtle connotations of the word 'elegant', and it is designed to be used as a display face. the name 'Cassiopeia' is taken from an existing constellation, initially listed in the 2nd century.
In this typeface, I have explored the idea of order and systematic design in an urban surrounding. Following the natural lines from the cement of a regular brick wall I have used the repetitive pattern and method to mark the outline to my type face. This font is primarily created for using in titles and headings rather than in a body of text as it is more impacting as well as visually striking and eye catching.
