Fett commands attention with its lavish uppercase letters. I had focused on creating an geometrical inverted slab serif incorporating features of Glyphic serifs. The distinguishing feature of Gylphic typefaces are the triangular shaped serif design, or a flaring of the character strokes where they terminate. Although Fett is not classified under either of those groups, I don’t think I wish it could be either- it shouldn’t be. Fett is meant to be very playful and tasteful. I named this font after its thick, fat stroke weight. Fett translates to “fat” in 3 different languages- German, Swedish, and Norwegian.

Originally intended to be a reversal of my Blokula font. Ended up looking more like swimming pool tiles with recessed text.
Uppercase contains variable widths, lowercase is monospaced to facilitate vertical typing.

When I first heard the theme of ‘Continuous’ I thought of pieces of string or pipelines. I was going to incorporate this element of solid continuity into my font. However I decided to express continuity through negativity. I highlight areas of letters that are not usually focused on as the main criteria. I paid attention to the corners, as they have proven vital in forming legibility. In a way, I was experimenting with what is the absolute minimum required to provide legibility.

This time, the characters are white on a black background. -------- 2014.04.15: Small update includes combining diacritic marks; this was done to circumvent a but in some Mac programs where the accented characters wouldn't appear correctly after typing in Option+N then N, for example. I also altered the "A with Ring Above" characters to look more consistent with the original version of the font. 2013.07.16: Slightly changed the appears of the 5 character in the superscript, subscript, and numberform characters. Update: As was the case with the black-on-white version of this font, the character sets have been expanded. Unfortunately, while this does have superscript and subscript numbers, the fraction slash character wouldn't work as a zero-width character without mucking up any subscript and superscript characters. ----- Made public on 2010.11.01 Last updated on 2010.05.23 (Dates based on California time)This is a clone of ImgWriter Draft

Colors on the right half of the characters are inverted. It sounds simple at first, but some of them are more trouble to design than they seem at first glance! I might go ahead and round off the corners of some of the letters, I'm not sure yet. I welcome suggestions for my fonts!
