For the goddess Circe ... Elegant, feminine, joyful, rounded, with a positive swing to it. Working with shapes and 'frames' I made this for the "mix-and-match" set of decorative fonts called CIRCE. The caps can be used as a "majuscle" but might overload visually if used exclusively in a text? The LC are quite legible in smaller sizes. This font is part of a 5-font style set

This is a cloneWhen my mother was young (and specially after my birth) she supplemented the family's income from home by typing for students and businesses. When I was a student I used the same machine for my assignments, lesson plans and thesis. The years were not kind to the machine, the mechanics rusted or broke, the letters worn with frayed edges or disintegrating serifs and fine lines. Ruth's typewriter is a declaration of my appreciation of many years of service the brave little machine gave... As you can see I clearly didn't get the letters repaired ;) The font looks like I rearranged and glued down what was left of the raised surfaces, to continue using the typewriter and give my words a very modern look ;)) A "grunge-writer" ?? Did you notice that no typewriters were ever sold with this kind of modern destructured typefaces?! ;)
Since I started this font many years ago (Ruth was very amused and appreciated this hommage) this work has now become a memorial to her
a little something I had in my head for quite a while already, finally decided to try and make it in Fontstruct.
No kerning done right now, but maybe some time later I'll do it. though even without the kerning it looks nice in my opinion.
Feel free to clone and see how it was done. (some glyphs like { are quite messy though)
also may redo some glyphs in the future.
UPDATE: cyrillic done
This font was inspired by crockery decorated with a name which I saw offered in a car boot sale. My font's UC has delicately decorated glyps, visible before food is placed on the plates; LC shows plates after the meal, with food remnants covering/filling parts of glyphs ;)
A while ago I designed the Circe family; it is quite elegant and fine. This new version, based on Circe1, has thicker lines without being bold. This meant changing a few letter shapes and lines. While it can be used with the others I would discourage mixing the normal weight versions with this one due to the structural changes to many letters.
This is a cloneA spur-of-the-moment project. An exploration of geometric silhouette conformation and fun Futura-based alternates (specifically, using the circles as strokes).
Glyph alternates can be accessed under the Cyrillic characters.
Inspired by wildlife in the garden. A fun slightly crazy design for spring time. There is a bit of variety in the heads, depending on the species of butterfly that will emerge :)) Toukka is Finnish for 'caterpillar'.
Work finished for the moment ...
An experiment based on: "What if an 8 color wheel was a letter O?" A work in progress just to bring up the potential of the new update. These colors are just rainbow colors and were not inspired from LGBT flag.
Where are the caps? Who cares? A bold, minimal-grid font so named because it looks sort of jellybeany. Kind of. I'm still not sure I like how dark the 'k' seems, but any fix looks worse. If there's demand, I'll add an accented set, perhaps.
«Update 2017-03-29» – I've reworked the aforementioned K. I've changed the lowercase to be a thinner version, along with much of the punctuation. I've even filled out the Latin-1 Supplement, though I loosen up considerably on the basic design elements to get things to work within the established grid.
Based on Suspiria's opening credits.
