Brush script, art deco, classic engraving, three genera of gothic (sans serif, blackletter, and ancient alphabet!), runic, hieroglyphic, and yet still some futuristic tendencies all informed me. But do they blend?
The handwritten quality of a broad-nibbed pen or skillfully wielded marker provides the binding agent. An emulsion of all these influences, it is at once all and none. Even the strict modularity begins to melt into the background. Yet so distinctly fontstruct...
This is a cloneThe reversed version of AT Imagiro for the Reversecomp (2nd entry).
This should be printed on paper and cut according to symmetry axis to achieve the result as in the samples.
I have many clones of the basic version of Caractère, with different line thickness and with different arragements of diacritics and decoration elements. This is a version with many elegant decorative lines-swirls.
This is a cloneReverse in the visual context can mean many things. I decided to create letters and mirrored them, attaching them to a spine. The letters looked like filigree jewellery pendants.
I know that the I , T and W don't follow the design rule; I tried to align them on a spine but the result was unsatisfactory.
This is a cloneTwentiesComp entry, inspired by art deco architecture. Not sure about the V, left some variations there for comparison. Also the uppercase/lowercase grave and acute are different, would like to hear which you prefer.
First try.
This design was created as part of the TwentiesComp. Too bad, due to lack of time, it was not finished. I realize db Pontus still needs a bit of time and patience to be ready (glyphs, kernig etc...) However, I just want to introduce db Pontus in this context already ; )
Inspired by a Blackletter font in which I saw Art Deco qualities. The name comes from Norse/Viking mythology. It's great for headlines/titles and works nicely as majuscles for slab sans serif fonts.
No DL for this particular design but the initial font design will be tidied (has Latin & MoreLatin only) and made available before the end of next week.
an art deco version of "folletto"...
This is a clone of Folletto FinoWith this font I am late to the competition, but I still love Art Deco a lot.
This is a cloneGloria is inspired by 1930's architecture. The theme for this idea is ‘destructive'. I looked at the exterior of buildings and the disappearance and destruction of 1930's architecture and the art deco era and style. The font is a combinination of curves and straight edges which expresses the style of architecture from that time. The detail on the letters will look better at a larger scale so it would be best for display. Anyone wanting to convey a period time or the art deco movement this is the font for you.
