A revival based on the lettering sketches and studies by Dutch graphic designer Jurriaan Schrofer for the book series 'Le Savoir Geographique' and 'Le Savoir Historique' (1971-1974) by Pierre Gourou during his time with Dutch publishing and printing company Mouton & Co., which was based in The Hague.
This is a bold weight rounded variation to the original work by Schrofer.
The following text embeds a collection of links that redirect to some additional background documentation on all the work Schrofer did for this book series.
More about Schrofer's other material. please visit the web page of the Wim Crouwel Institute, which currently curates the entire Schrofer collection that was previously owned by NAGO (Dutch Archive for Graphic Designers Foundation).

Inspired by a type identification request over at Typography.guru.
During developement, the tool has taken over, also helped by the scarcity of letters available in the original, making the design more sans than serif, and with strong MICR vibes in some places.
The name means "shoe shop" (also shoe repair or shoe making) in Italian.
At the moment the language coverage is limited to Western Europe.

I was thinking... it could be a nice concept/basic letterform to "pump up" squares! The upper and lower case sets are different, but not completely. Some of the glyphs only worked in one way... So here it is. Enjoy and have a beautiful summer!

it's part of my typeface project < unrecognizable font>. a minimalist(maybe??) font. trying to express all caps characters with 9 bricks and there gaps. my friend says it looks like a maze. might be some problem with leading(didn't found the option) ONLY CAPS(cause i haven't figure out how to express lowercase with the limited resources)
