This is a cloneTopo was originally inspired by the theme Filthy. The idea of compact lines came from looking at the shapes chewed into chewing gum pieces which are wrongly discarded on the floor. Using topographic maps I created the lines for each letter respectively hence the naming of the font.
Desk bound is inspired by the shape of paperclips. The theme for this idea is ‘systematic’, my initial interpretation of this was something heavy and solid, to represent machinery/construction, based on industrial systems. The idea behind the paperclips comes from the notion that every ‘system’, in a broader sense of the word, requires careful planning and organisation. The physical form of the letters is intended to appear both soft and geometric, making use of the rounded rectangular shape of the paperclips to communicate this and remain consistent, reflecting back on the original ‘systematic’ theme whilst looking lighthearted and playful.
Inspired by a font I saw in a children's book. The artist had drawn a map of the world on canvas and used a tiny serif font to label important points on the map. The letters had such a cute hand-made feel to them that I just had to recreate it in FS.
Uppercase letters are 6 grid squares (3 bricks) tall; lowercase are 4.5 (2.25 bricks). IIRC nudging had recently been introduced; this definitely would have been impossible without it.

This font may be weird-looking, indeed, but it has this particularity to be read the same even if mirrored (if you put the mirror just below the text) as each single glyph is symmetrical following the X-axis (the baseline).
The R, the lowercase Y and some of the numbers were true challenges but I had fun doing them all anyway.
I wanted to do an ambigram-ish font and here it is. Well, good luck trying to do an actual ambigram out of this but this could surely be helpful for a number of other things. You to choose!

1. Improved the $ and tried to improve the Y/y.
2. Re-improved the $ and the Y/y, also improved the U/u and the n.
3. Improved the 2. And edited a bit the b and the h.
4. Improved 1 and 7.
5. Edited the F and the y for them to look less "out" of the font. (May not being an improvement.)
This typeface was designed from using the word 'Squishy' as a starting point. Which i then went on to pinpointing it down to fat in particular looking at animal fat. I feel this font can be used in a large poster or sign, advertising or for promoting against animal cruelty.
This is a cloneBased on the theme of malnutrition, this font uses chicken bones to structure its letter forms. The chicken bones represent the cycle of malnutrition that continues today in the fast food industry – how we mistreat and abuse chickens that we then eat, consequently malnourishing ourselves in the process. The font is based on a stencil font, which chicken bones where placed on top of, photographed, drawn and translated onto Font Struct to create the final product. The font is not designed as body text but is designed to be used for means that need a more impacting, visually striking and eye catching font.
This is a cloneI have made this font based on the overall theme of dangerous. When exploring this theme further I started looking at venomous animals and specifically at Funnel Web spiders. The intricate funnel shaped webs that they made started off the initial designs for this font. I looked at the different patterns that the webs can make and made a web of my own to priduce the shapes that inspired this font.
Made as part of the “Found type” project for UWE Bristol. Inspired by the word “Squishy” I explored ‘doughy’ avenues and decided to base a font around first donuts and then finally settled on jam. This font is inconsistent, no one letter is uniformed. It portrays a wet and fluid feel that could be seen in any cookbooks or type for children. I would imagine this font to be useful for a very small audience as it is very specific. It could be used beyond the jam idea and be useful in terms of science fiction as it looks ambiguous out of context of the materials. This is not the finished product and it will be worked on over the next few months.
I produced this typeface as a part of a UWE project. I started by exporing the word dangerous, where I moved onto the topic of fear. This lead me to a fear of heights and ultimately glass and the way it smashes. This broken glass typeface is shattered as if hit directly and smashed into shape. I wanted it to look more unorganised so the smash seemed more natural. I didn't want the pieces to fit the shape of the letter form but I also didn't want you to be unable to read the letter so I felt like this was a good middle ground between the two. This typeface is to be used as a title font rather than text font.
The theme for this typeface is the word 'Filthy'. The letterform's structures are based on dust and the way it separates when a finger is dragged through it. Dust collects on objects that have been untouched for periods of time, often through neglect. The use of negative space and lack of border draws attention to the dot-work dust that forms around the accents of the letters. As a finger cleans dust, larger piles form where there is a change in direction. This helps identify the individual characters whilst keeping a minimalistic approach. This font can be used for headings and posters, or shop designs and logos. I have always felt this font would go well on a burger shack to help give a rustic or edgy look.
Cheap fantasy is a type face inspired by Lurid lighting and hallucinations. Taken from hand drawn letter forms to online use, Cheap Fantasy captures a bright dazzling effect with broken letters.
This display type face has horror feel, with disintegrating blurred letters would suit any horror comic/book title.
This font was inspired by the works of Christophe Szpajdel (Lord of the Logos, 2010, Die Gestalten Verlag), as well as by the film trilogy and the following game titles (e.g. Middle-earth: Shadows of Mordor, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, 2014) based on Tolkien's epic masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings. Given the game theme, and the 48 bricks vertical limit, I thought more or less around pixel art, or pixel fonts. This is my endeavour to make a spiky blackletter in Szpajdel's black metal style that evokes the terror of Mordor at pixel level. This font has been extensively tested for best kerning, yet some issues might have remained unresolved.
