The painting in the sampler is from Wikimedia: the "Villa Petraia". I'll add more diacritics when I know which language(s) my friends want to see supported.

Love this, though lc Z is a tad similar to 3...
I see them on different levels with different forms and heights. My old computer messing things up? :'( *wasted23hrsResearch-Drawing-Making* After 30thNov I'll make an easy (not historically influenced) font
Do others see this z=3 ? Then I'll attempt a new Fontstruction, after finishing those I work on atm.
I like the serifs. They are subdued, simple and yet also interesting. I think the quotes need to look more like the serifs. They seem out of place regarding the style of the rest of the font.
@jonrgrover: I've changed all quotation marks to look more like the serifs; hence the new shape for ' and " to look more like the quotes. Diareses in the sampler were too low and have been lifted.

@blumon:Thank you! @xBox: too much"bad design" which I like and won't repair (3=z, ok; you forgot a=o, u=v, n=h, S=5, p=b, q=d, 1=l, D=O=0, 7=Z ... ) Would it be right to encourage download and study?
I enjoyed the Villa Petraia sample. The font is great (its fanciful design too). Perhaps too clean to look as old as expected, esp. printed/engraved (well, it'd be a question of image edition on my side, but degraded alternates might help beforehand). What was your inspiration for "Jardin"? (talking typeface, not only the aimed context.) Serifed dots might be feasible(?).
dpla: thank you :)it's based on home-made cassis medication>>thanking our cassis plants>>medicinal garden. Dots are done. a,o,c,g etc have berries shape;) I'll 'age' glyphs next year.
If you can see berries everywhere, it might be high time to stop assessing your medicinal liqueur? (Aeo is a hippy home distiller ;-)) (Now I must go and buy some Mon Chéris… an artificial substitute for the oppidans.)

lol dpla "J'M" MonChéri! I once made chocolates like it as presents to family and friends :° This year it's "Jardin-le-font" in FS blackcurrant flavour. I don't distill, I extract. Hippy, right... ;)

Added -- some symbols; all Latin Supplement diacritics; changed spacing, LC+UC "ß", G, aspects of g, F, &, brackets,
I've redone the sampler as too many glyphs were changed since I first published font and sampler. (decription: Ingerol-1)
