Recreation of the primary pixel font from Sin-Nihon Laser Soft/Telenet Japan/NEC's "Last Alert" (aka "Red Alert", 1989) on the PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
I was playing fruit ninja with my nephew, and while cutting the fruit and beating my neohew in the game, I was thinking about how the slashing, so I just thought that could work, then I was watching Predator and that part where arnold (spoiler alert) beats the predator and the predator pulls out his bomb and it started counting down; the numbers also helped me come up with this idea
A skeletal design related to Candylander, Nyandotte, Straplander, etc. This one works as a stencil and reminds me of dazzle camouflage! There's also a plain version of this which looks much neater and less harsh, but I like this one more.
Experimenting with a new letter concept. This is not the final concept of course, but I developed this along the way, so I kept it.
For best results, use upper and lower case on seperate layers, then merge them together.
This typeface was brought about by the inconsistency in original stencil based systems where open letters (C and E, etc.) were left free of support. Originally built for a Flash library from a square and a quarter of a doughnut, it delivers an overall order to the stencil alphabet... Albeit now as pixels.
