Inspired by Kix's awesome Pole Position font. Just my take on these letters. Thank you, Kix, for being so awesome!

Inspired by a lack of hard work, sitting down and laying back. Remove yourself from stress and responsibility. Despite the theme this font arrived from investigation into missing letters, bars, stems and other parts. Experiments drawing with the wrong hand, eyes closed and allowing the pen to do its own thing. 'The new italic'. A font for those who generally cant be bothered.
First year Graphic Design module for UWE Bristol. Theme = Lazy.

For my Fontstruction I chose the theme condensed, which was part of our typography brief on our Graphic Design course at UWE. With my theme being condensed, I went with a very skinny typeface, this is because I was going to call it anorexic. On certain letters that have right angles I added an inner curve, to represent how skinny a human body goes when anorexic. The hardest part of this, was the limitations of FS and trying to get around them, this includes letters like M, N, W, R & K. Once I knew how to nudge and stack blocks, the challenge of combining blocks to make the correct letters wasn't as hard. This typeface isn't based on any current typeface.

A very enjoyable exercise. I'll attempt an upper case, too... but not at 12.00pm.

A work in progress. Not all letters are "oneliners", but I might fix that. --- I changed the name from "Oneliner italic" to "Waterfall Italic"

'Repertor' is a display typeface inspired by hand-rendered calligraphy and brush stroke textures. The typeface evolved from exploring physical properties of my starting theme 'motion' and combining this with nautical elements, mostly found close to Bristol Harbour - the name 'Repertor' has been taken from a Thames sailing barge. My first true italic font, work in progress.
Thrillions of years just to make a k that seems like it's running out of the word. Someone stop that k! It's willing to scape from my crappy alphabet!!

Don't worry, it's (probably) not going to turn into a series.

My font is based of the theme 'fluid'. I decided to take a more literal way of looking at fluid by taking a look at materials which are fluid and the nature of them. Looking at droplets on a table after it had rained made me realise the nature of the water on the table made the droplets appear edgy and distorted at some sides, so working from that research I created a typeface which replicated this in an exaggerated way by making the droplets curve in quite an angular/curvaceous manner. I found that this also created a futuristic vibe to the text as well. I think this typeface is better to be used on a large scale as when it is used on a smaller scale it is harder to see the detail within the typeface. This is a clone

An italic font based on a theme of fluid. My research began with spending time in Bristol exploring the harbour and the rivers in the South West with resulted in a digital reinvention of the organic forms created by the natural environments created by water. This is a clone
