Recreation of one of the pixel fonts from Video System's "Aero Fighters" (aka "Sonic Wings", 1992). This font is used for the pilot names and post-level taunts. Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
My attempt at a headliner font. This is made to look very regular, even "generic", but also very clearly readable - the sort of font you might expect to see in advertising agencies, publishing houses, hospitals, and government buildings.
Uppercase only.
Use with kerning turned ON!

Recreation of the large pixel font from Taito's "Darius" (1987), also reused in "Darius II" (1989).
In the tile set for "Darius", the "$" was missing a few pixels - this was addressed in "Darius II", and this recreation contains the dollar sign from the latter version.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the large pixel font from Taito's "Syvalion" (1988).
The original has an additional subtle 1px border around all characters, which acts as basic antialiasing. In this recreation, this border has been removed.
Note the "black circle" (U+25CF), "medium shade" (U+2592), and the round "target" character that has been mapped to "currency symbol" (U+00A4)
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the large pixel font from IGS' "Demon Front" (2002) - its hommage to/ripoff of "Metal Slug" (1996).
This variant is used primarily in the highscore screen.
Only the character present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the large pixel font found in the BIOS for IGS' "PolyGame Master (PGM)" (1997 - 2005) arcade system board - used for boot warnings and settings screens.
Only the characters present in the BIOS have been included.
Recreation of the pixel font from Namco's "Splatterhouse 3" (1993) on the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis.
The font uses an unusual spacing, where the uppercase characters, the numbers, the ampersand, and the question mark have a width of two tiles / 16px, and the lowercase characters and remaining punctuation marks have a width of one tile / 8px.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the large pixel font from TechnoSoft's "Elemental Master" (1990) on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.
This font is used for all the cinematics and end credits.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the large pixel font from Data East's "Shackled" (aka "Breywood", 1986).
This font is used primarily for the highscore screen. While each character uses four 8×8 tiles, in game the width of the characters is tweaked so that they're only 12 pixels wide (except for the three letters used for the highscore name itself, which use the full 16 pixel width), which is what this recreation uses.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
