Recreation of the pixel font from Capcom's "Goof Troop: Pirate Island Adventure" (1993) on the SNES.

This recreation uses the special TTF+SVG format, which currently has limited support. For a monochrome version, see this recreation.

The font includes an almost complete set of hiragana and katakana characters. In the tile set, the dakuten and handakuten are separate tiles, positioned in a line above their respective character. In this recreation, characters that use them are pre-combined into a single glyph.

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Note the "V" and "W", which are shifted up by one pixel and short, and the inconsistent weight of some of the characters.

Recreation of the main pixel font from Bullfrog's "Syndicate" (1994) on the SNES.

Compared to the Amiga/Atari ST/PC version, the console version is monospaced, with wider characters that make better use of the 8×8 tiles.

Note the characters for the "A", "X", and "Y" controller buttons, which have been mapped to "enclosed alphanumerics" (U+24B6, U+24CD, and U+24CE respectively). Also note the weirdly chopped off "Z".

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

A thin proportional font, based on the upgrade shop in Bitmap Brothers' "Chaos Engine" (1993) on the Amiga, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, and SNES.

In the game, this font uses antialiasing, and is used both as a monospaced and proportional font. This recreation simplifies the shapes, omits the antialiasing, and keeps it as a purely proportional font.

Only the characters used in game/present in the console games' tile set have been included.

Recreation of the main monospaced pixel font from Ape Inc./Hal Laboratory's "Mother 2: Gīgu no Gyakushū" ("MOTHER2ギーグの逆襲", 1994) on the Super Famicom/SNES.

This is notably different from the proportional font used in the western release, EarthBound.

The font includes an almost complete set of hiragana and katakana characters.

Note the superscript double zeroes have been mapped to the em dash (U+2015).

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Capcom's "Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems" (1996) on the SNES.

This recreation uses the special TTF+SVG format, which currently has limited support.

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the coloured pixel font from Sculptured Software/LucasArts' "Super Star Wars" (1992) on the SNES.

The font was reused in "Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" (1993) and "Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" (1994).

This recreation uses the special TTF+SVG format, which currently has limited support. For a monochrome version, see Super Star Wars (SNES).

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the main pixel font from Jaleco's "Rival Turf!" (aka "Rushing Beat", 1992) on the SNES.

This font is used for the main menu, intro/outro cinematics, and end credits.

The font includes an almost complete set of hiragana and katakana characters. A few of the katakana characters were missing in the game's tile set, so I've attempted to include custom characters in a similar style. In the tile set, the dakuten and handakuten are separate tiles, positioned in a line above their respective character. In this recreation, characters that use them are pre-combined into a single glyph.

With the exception of the few additional katakana glyphs, only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Capcom's "Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts" (1991) on the SNES.

This recreation uses the special TTF+SVG format, which currently has limited support. For a monochrome version, see the recreation of the "Ghouls 'n Ghosts" arcade font.

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the latin pixel font from Wolf Team's "Arcus Odyssey" (aka "Arcus Spirits", 1991).

The alphanumeric characters are the same as Wolf Team's "Granada" (1990), but with different punctuation and special characters. The font remained the same between the original (on the Sharp x68000) and subsequent ports to the Super Famicom and the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.

Only the characters present in the game's tile set (on the Super Famicom) have been included.
