This should have been a minimum font, but minimum can't do color.
The idea was to simulate transparency. After trying out multiple color hatch patterns, it was apparent that it is not going to work. The earlier attempts are left in the font for you to judge yourself their efficacy.
The file is pretty heavy because of having so many anchor points (times 8 layers). Scrolling will be slow. Because the next letter overlapping the previous hides part of the black outline, just outline glyphs are there to stack two layers (colored below, outline above) to get the correct effect.
Is there some trick to make the downloaded font to work in color? The version I downloaded comes as *-svg.ttf. Aren't the color svg fonts in .otf format? Thus, no sample.
Squarepixel! As the name says, it's a cross between square and pixel. Don't like smooth corners? This font's for you!

I updated and improved my previously published third recap in the series to attempt to re-create some of the works from late great dutch graphic designer "Jurriaan Schrofer".
As extra I added a period plus comma.
I hope you like it.

CLONE OF Cubetopia FONT WHICH IS A BIT MORE ACCURATE.
Challenge: Try using Extensis to scale your font to a cubic design like this!
a sans serif faunt with a pure dual nature - Pilch Seriff and Pilch.
Pilch, like Roboto, has a dual nature - with a slab-serifand sans combo.
This font and Pilch Regular should not be copied, damaged, deleted or modified in any way shape or form, lending, email or otherwise without the prior permission of the creator.
>>ONLY THE CREATOR CAN EDIT OR COPY<<
This is a clone of PilchSome kind of great big ol' chain.
In retrospect, I think it looks like a jewelry chain from a dwarven civilization. Perhaps the hypothetical jeweler cut and ground the stones in an imitation of some dwarven font!
When glyphs are used in isolation, they somewhat resemble carved signets or seals. Increasing the letter spacing allows you to create a variation of the design. (This is something that must be done in-software since the font will render as monospaced by default.)

12SEP2018: Added lowercase... the low resolution combined with the design method make it very difficult to render distinctive lowercase versions of every letter, but I'll keep working on it. There's a lot of similarity between pairs like S/5, Z/2, etc., so this font is most effectively used in forms of writing wherein context suffices to inform the reader as to the identity of each glyph (lists, prose, and technical writings). If you want to use this in a password system or something, I recommend using one case's glyphs only.

Design Rules:
1. Negative spaces will be areas of 0.5 bricks' effective length or width.
2. Negative spaces may exceed the 0.5 measurement only by increments of 0.5 and in only one dimension at a time.
3. Glyphs will fill their framed canvasses to the greatest extent possible while adhering to the other rules.
