Make the letters any width desired.

Type the uppercase letter for the left half of the letter, type an extender (or not), then type the same lowercase letter for the right half of the letter. The more extenders are inserted between the left and the right halves, the wider the letter becomes.

I and T are the exceptions where the extenders are typed before and after the left and right halves and not inbetween.

The other exceptions are M and W which have been split into 3 and extenders are added between the left, middle and right thirds.

The 1974 Olivetti Studio 46 presents a beautiful retrospective of a European square font. Since I'm a typewriter freak, I decided to 'rescue' this typeface. I will make a cleaner version in a few days and post that, too. -Su

This started out as a joke, but it just kept getting more interesting to me as it was developed. 
Completed countertops can contain at least two pieces: an uppercase and lowercase letter. The left side of the counter starts with a capital letter, which has a corresponding right side piece in the same lower case letter. Numbers and Shifted Numbers contain center pieces that can be typed in multiples. 
The <>, [], and {} make special faux perspective counter pairs. Use sparingly. 

G1 Recoil. It's like a vibrating pixel font. It's got like one strand most of the time. 

G1 Counterfade. Its got faded halftoned counters. Who would've thought.

A multi-line design which is slightly reminescent of mazes/fingerprints. It's not designed to create functional mazes, but it is somewhat capable!

"Absinthelyric Print" is an anagram for "Labyrinthine Script".

Original size: 11.25pt. Use multiples of this value for pixel perfection. (If you use antialiasing, it will look perfect at most any size.)

Design rules:

1. Square bricks and 90-degree angles only.

2. Alphabetic glyphs must have open terminals; numerals and symbols must have closed terminals. Letters which do not terminate (D,O, etc.) must be broken so that they do terminate.

3. Glyphs must fill the 15x15 grid.

4. Ligatures and combinatorial glyphs must fit into one letter's space.

A classical option with a new point of view (the scrape). The LC is different to make more legible the pairs of equals glyphs like FF, TT, CC, OO, EE... IBYP because I'm kerning a lot of them.  

Very stressful assembly of bricks, I thought I would not finish it on time. Uff! Some glyphs are still expecting to be included in the font. WIP, and kerning.

A funky idea that started with the A and expanded from there. Most letters are drawn by a single line winding around, although some are just not willing to follow this mantra. I found this half-finished while scrolling through my private FontStructions, looking for ideas for the CounterComp, and decided it was already an interesting entry :-)

There's an alternate, narrow set of numbers that can be reached with Shift+number (on a QWERTY, Dvorak, etc. layout); not sure which set fits the style better. Suggestions and critiques welcome for anything, and feel free to clone and poke around with it. Thanks and enjoy!

a font for when you want to be brutally serious and to the point

The counters in breach overlap the outlines of their glyphs and extend beyond them. x-height: 3 bricks

The idea is to represent counters with arrows. Letters with closed counters (e.g. D,P ) were first opened and only afterwards were represented by arrows.

Fluid simulator. Author too lazy to do lowercase.

Sort of a semi recap of the lettering found on the second issue of Polish avant garde architectural magazine called "PRAESENS".

It got published throughout the first part of the previous century and was similar to other magz from that era such as: DeStijl, Wendingen & Het Overzicht.

It's not super accurate but still a fairly recognizable and cool looking type.  I already made a pro version of this lettering in the past with FontLab Studio, which closely capturing the exact original design.

This might be called a "negative counter" design. Alternative 'Y' is on 'y'. Countercomp entry 2.

Numerous single brick pattern fillers and connectors, ready for you to use/clone/copy/change and put into your own designs or whatever.

All patterns are designed to work as a selection fill. So in other words: the patterns will always look the same regardless of the dimensions of your selected area!

They come in a wide range of styles such as: Retro, Tile, Seemless, Textile, Composite, Glitch, Minimalism

All bricks are stored and saved in the custom brick pallet.

Fonts for "Counter competition"

Inspired by the Maze Set. A technical fontstruction showing the usage for thinner macaroni bricks. The logic for possible counter relation: 

1) Every letter is filled with thinner version of itself (self-pattern fill).

2) Outline vs Inline, emphasizing the "opposite" meaning of counter.
