This font was created around the theme of decay. I took inspiration from shapes and forms within the pieces of a badger's spine and manipulated them to construct the alphabet. Here is my blog :) > http://hollydennis.tumblr.com/ website> www.hollydennisdesign.com
Based on the Covid-19 situation I know of in north western Europe: CONFINED illustrates the limits this virus imposes on people.
Nightpegasus' creative activities have been curbed for some time; with addition of this virus scare comes lack of interactions with my small support group and my creative output is even more reduced. As far as my FontStructed fonts are concerned this has imprisoned my enthousiasm and attacked my confidence in my abilities ...
Note that this font still has more glyphs to come. One of these days, possibly in April but more likely during the summer break.
I have worked on aspects of this design for a while and transferred the best glyphs to make **Confined**, expressing my thoughts and feelings in this font. But I can't see yet how to get the many missing glyphs to match this style.
First try.
This design was created as part of the TwentiesComp. Too bad, due to lack of time, it was not finished. I realize db Pontus still needs a bit of time and patience to be ready (glyphs, kernig etc...) However, I just want to introduce db Pontus in this context already ; )
This font is based on the font used in the game I made in 48 hours for Ludum Dare a few days ago. There's a couple changes in here due to having less restrictions (IE, the game's font was locked to 5px wide max)
Looking back at my old fonts on here from years past, I'm honestly surprised that none of my pixel fonts are just like... readable and nice. They either have a bunch of strange alternate versions of characters or are just not very good, haha. Well, anyway, I guess I'm changing that now. (I hope so, anyway.)
This font was created around the theme of 'elegant'. I chose to focus on the elegance of flowing fabric and drapery, so designed these letters inspired by classical depictions of fabric in paintings and marble sculptures.
Please note this is an uppercase font so will only work when typing in capitals.
This is a cloneA double-line style with a twist. Named for the Exage Viral Armada (EVA), a mutagenic virus featured in several of my own games and stories. EVA causes rapid limb bifurcation and the spontaneous generation of butterflies, both of which can be seen in various glyphs from this design.
The exact rules for this are somewhat complicated, and based on structural as well as visual analysis. The basic idea can be seen on glyphs like k and x: Closed loops (double line) are joined by single lines which turn back on themselves to create the illusion of more lines. Of course, this idea had to be modified for most of the other glyphs, for the sake of stylistic consistency and visual interest. Particularly, almost all the spurred glyphs have the double-line structures open up to form the spurs.
