SUPER MA(RE-)O BROS.
A bitmap typeface family that recaps the classic fonts that were used for 1985 Nintendo Entertainment System game "Super Mario Bros."
-- It's a large piece that covers a bit of everything. And two seporate typefaces will be published the following days to accompany this one seemlessly.
both more less finished as well, but changes were made in this one that requires the other two to be fixed again in order to seemlessly work together before getting published, So stay tuned!
About this fist part:
It combines not just the two (title screen and ingame regular text)fonts used for this game, but also includes dingbats related to the game, and combines it all into one single typeface!
The sample will only display correctly at exact pixel size or double the value of this due to dither gradients that otherwise not show as a solid surfaces.
Basic and Extended Latin - letters seen at title screen
Superscripts and Subscripts - regular text font (only partial alphabet, as according to the unicode standard for this block)
Miscellaneous Symbols - miscellaneous dingbats related to the game such as emoji's and blocks to make seemless ornamental features like seen ingame
Halfwidth and Fullwidth Forms - regular text font but with full suport for both uppercase & lowercase, as well as numerals and basic punctuation.
Enjoy!
Numerous single brick pattern fillers and connectors, ready for you to use/clone/copy/change and put into your own designs or whatever.
All patterns are designed to work as a selection fill. So in other words: the patterns will always look the same regardless of the dimensions of your selected area!
They come in a wide range of styles such as: Retro, Tile, Seemless, Textile, Composite, Glitch, Minimalism
All bricks are stored and saved in the custom brick pallet.
Enjoy!
Drop shadow version for the STF_SUPER MA(RE-)O BROS. family.
This is a clone of STF_SUPER MA(RE-)O BROS.A remastered version of the classic lettering by "Theo Van Doesburg" for avant garde architectural magazine "De Stijl".
So, rather than a replica of the original, this is a 2018 view of the classic letters. It still follows the global contour of the original letters but instead of being stenciled it features solid glyphs.
Incised version for the LOOP typeface family with rounded corners.
This is a clone of STF_LOOP (ROUNDED)Outline version for STF_SUPER MA(RE-)O BROS. family.

This time I didn't do a straight foreward recap of a specific work from the great man, but rather had myself inspired by a number of his sketches and combined those ideas all into this type! (Nonetheless ofcourse still heavily inspired by..)
Here are a few of the original works I drawn inspiration from:
"A.S.C. COMMUNICATIONS, SEMINOTICS, SIGNAGE SYSTEM PTT 1975 (Dutch Post Office) , BEURS VAN BERLAGE, UNREADABLE ALPHABET"
This is a clone of STF_SANS_SEVERE_TYPEFACE-MULTILINESAnother tribute to the great Dutch graphical designer/pioneer "Jurriaan Schrofer".

ELEVATED (REWORK) - A large 3D outline display typeface design with shadow effect.
It's inspired by the lettering from a sketch by great Dutch graphical designer "Jurriaan Schrofer".
===========================================================
This is the long overdue shadow style variant which was requested by Goatmeal and elmoyenique. It has the diagonal shading lines included (as was also presented in the original sketch by Jurriaan Schrofer)
Due to the inexperience that I had in my early days of FontStructing and the lack of proper knowledge about raster scaling, I faced some serious issues regarding the correct size distribution. This had me unable to include the diagonal lines properly into that pre-existing font with them having equal seporation and white space througout the entire design.
So instead of making a clone of my previously published version "STF_ELEVATED" and include the shadow font variant into that family as a seporate FontStruction (like I did with most other style variations back then), I decided to rebuild the full font. Putting it all together into this single re-worked font version.
This re-work has some important differences compared to the previous version. The first one, another size to grid ratio which optimizes the size distribution for digital display as well as drastically reduces the overall glyph size (more accurate version forthcoming). Some extra characters were added to the set, making it a slightly more functional basic font.
The shadow effect is the default style for this font, this also includes all numerals, punctuation marks and other symbols that make up the full font, these occupy the uppercase. The bare outline style A-Z glyphs occupy the lowercase.
Enjoy!
Style variation in the SEMIOTICA type family.
A type family based on the lettering seen on the book cover of "Semiotica - Journal of the International Association for Semiotic Studies" published by Mouton. The letters and book cover were originally designed by "Jurriaan Schrofer".
As usual I completed the alphabet plus numerics and added numerous punctuations.
It's been a while since I last revisited the works of "Jurriaan Schrofer".
So here is another one by the late great Dutch graphical designer.
