STF_ELEGANZA (Therapy) - Contemporary geometric humanist sans
==============================================
A font style, that while simplified by old tradition, saw new light by modern sophistication.
It comes in a solid medium weight that is very suitable for body style text with good readability, But it does perfect clear headlines or advertisement as well.
==============================================
The goal was to make a clean but somewhat more contemporary and playful take on a 'Grotesque' sans-style.
In an attempt to break away from the traditional trend of Grotesque type designs which evolved more around pure geometric shapes and aim for perfect circular, triangular or square shaped letterforms, and in return give many of them a somewhat harsch and featureless mechanical appearance. I choose to achieve the opposite, aiming for a softer, friendlier and more humanized feeling instead.

Dimensions: (in grid units)
X-Height: 1 .625
Cap-Height: 1 .875
Type Size: 2 .375

Brick Size filter: 2 : 2
==============================================
This is the 'Therapy'-style in the 'ELEGANZA' typeface family. This version basically aims for the exact opposite effect than what the Tight' version did. The name 'Therapy' relates to its 'opened-up' appearence and the overall de-stressed propperties of this version. The more relaxed and spacious distribution remotely resembles the characteristic feel of a typewriter face. But the main purpose for this version is to create visual hierarchy in your layout.

Another revival of the works originally designed by great dutch graphic designer Jurriaan Schrofer
The original source for this fontStruction was the cover of 1963 paperback: "i10 de internationale avant-garde tussen de twee wereldoorlogen"
by Lehning, Arthur & Jurriaan Schrofer
═════════════════════════════════════
I provided the (A-Z, Uc & Lc) basic latin character set, numerals, basic punctuations & symbols. Some of the symbols could still use slight improvements though. But the grid/brick system parameters did pose some tough limitations in regard to the allowed complexity.
The quality of the font preview shown above by FS's website is very poor and inacurate due to the combination of brick size filter (0.90-0.90), very small incisions and composite bricks. Best you'll check the sample image bellow in the comment section.

This version is the 'Tight'-style in the 'ELEGANZA' typeface family. It has a slight compressed effect on its vertical axis that sets this apart from typical proportioned faces. Tightening the Leading and allowing greater quantities of lines per inch.

This is a cloneNEXT SKYCITY - A decorative future-retro art deco style display typeface.
=======================================================
This is a remastered and extended sequel to an pre-existing older design I did.
Now, the reason for this was due to the fact that there was a lot going on in the older version I simply just wasn't satisfied with.
=======================================================
This new and extended version includes an overall more streamlined and consistent design. Much improved and more balanced looking numerals.
Also have I corrected and added numerous punctuation marks, and, last but not least.. What truly changed this previously more of a lettering idea type design into a relative usable full font is, the introdiction of a simple and legible geometric lowercase string. Make the font far more suitable for body text.
The uppercase and numeral strings are a random mix of both normal open stroke-based geometric letterforms and stylistic filled letter-contours, that, when arranged like this making the uppercase character set look playful and slightly future-ish retro at first, yet a somewhat strangely ellegant sophistication that is ever so gently present. This could be used in isolation for a strong and convincing decorative headline text, or in conbination with the lowercase for a surprisingly readable an clean looking body text that has the occasional occurance of a decorative capital letter.
I hope you like it so far...
This is a cloneELEVATED (PRINT) - A 3D outline display typeface design with shadow effect.
It's inspired by the lettering from a sketch by great Dutch graphical designer "Jurriaan Schrofer".
===========================================================
This is the long overdue shadow style variant which was requested by Goatmeal and elmoyenique. It has diagonal shading lines included (as was also presented in the original sketch by Jurriaan Schrofer)
This rework has one major difference compared to all previous versions, once more it was constructed with a different size to grid ratio, one that corrects the size distribution, enabling the recreation of the original sketch with high accuracy.
The stroke weight in this "PRINT" version more accuratly mimics the original sketch and therefor is not optimized for digital display use.
===========================================================
The shadow effect is the default style for this font, this also includes all numerals, punctuation marks and other symbols that make up the full font, these occupy the uppercase. The outline style A-Z glyphs occupy the lowercase.
Enjoy!

First of all, Hi everyone,
I hope you all doing great...
Seems that for now I have found my way back here, after being away from Fontstruct for nearly 2 years.
I got to admit that I experienced some ring rust at first. lol
Anyway, here is my latest fontstruction, the first one in 2 years.
So far the main design concept and the basic minimum glyph set is about completed, and I am pretty pleased with the result up untill this point.
More technical details on the design and concept as well as demo gfx can be found down in the comment section.
I hope you like it too so far
Cheers
ELEVATED (REWORK) - A 3D outline display typeface design with shadow effect.
It's inspired by the lettering from a sketch by great Dutch graphical designer "Jurriaan Schrofer".
===========================================================
This re-work differs from Jurriaan's original sketch and my previous versions.
I changed the size to grid ratio, drastically reducing overall glyph size and increase stroke weight. The changes are optimizing the design, making it more suitable for digital display use. (more accurate 'print' version forthcoming).
===========================================================
Due to the inexperience I had in my early days of FontStructing, and the lack of proper knowledge about raster scaling, I faced some serious issues regarding the correct size distribution. This made it impossible to include the diagonal lines correctly into that old version of the font, with the diagonals also having equal seporation and white space throughout the entire design.
So instead of making a clone of my previously published version "STF_ELEVATED" in order to include the shadow style variation into that existing family as a seporate FontStruction (like I did with most other style variations in my "LETTERS OP MAAT" series), for this one I decided to rebuild the entire typeface from scratch.
Putting all the style variations together into this single re-worked design.
Some extra characters were added to the set, making it a slightly more functional basic font.
===========================================================
The shadow effect is the default style for this font, this also includes all numerals, punctuation marks and other symbols that make up the full font, these occupy the uppercase. The outline style A-Z glyphs occupy the lowercase.
Enjoy!
DIDUDE -A condensed neoclassical "Didone" serif style.
The idea revolved around the basic concept for didone style typefaces.
A genre characterized by a modern unornamented standard letterform that was very popular for general-purpose printing during the nineteenth century.
==============================================================
Main design parameters for DIDUDE are:
Typical narrow unbracketed serifs, vertical orientation of weight axes with strong contrast between thick and thin lines. So the majority of important features that really distinguish this genre I have tried to implement.
I didn't embarge on a quest to delivering a conceptual overhaul of this genre. Instead, the idea was to simply keep it faithful to existing tradtion. But, I did make 'some' personal design decisions that (i think) set this font apart from most more traditional fonts in this genre. Most obvious are its condensed style and the more relaxed contrast ratio I've choosen for this particular design.
I've also tried to include some extra personal touch to the stroke endings, which feature slight typographic decorative variations, such as occasional spurs, breaks, curved finials as well as plain terminals, there is even some ever so gentle height deviation and overshoot going on.
In addition to this there is a large character set that includes a little bit of everything:
Basic latin character set, latin-1 supplement set, stylistic ligatures and alternatives, punctuation marks, lining and non-lining figures, roman numerals, greek uppercase, mathematical, symbols and decorative shapes.
==============================================================
Only partial kerning is applied for now and it remains a WIP, more characters follow.
Nonetheless,
I hope y'all like it so far..
Cheers

It is trying to mimmic letters written with a bend metal wire or a chord.
It is only in lowercase letters at the moment no numerals and only very limited punctuations. But It is still very fun to play around with.
And my apologies for putting a sting of glyphs with only a line showing in the numeral block but I did this to make the pangram for the font show up in when viewed from the gallery
Incised version for the LOOP typeface family with rounded corners.
This is a clone of STF_LOOP (ROUNDED)SUPER MA(RE-)O BROS.
A bitmap typeface family that recaps the classic fonts that were used for 1985 Nintendo Entertainment System game "Super Mario Bros."
-- It's a large piece that covers a bit of everything. And two seporate typefaces will be published the following days to accompany this one seemlessly.
both more less finished as well, but changes were made in this one that requires the other two to be fixed again in order to seemlessly work together before getting published, So stay tuned!
About this fist part:
It combines not just the two (title screen and ingame regular text)fonts used for this game, but also includes dingbats related to the game, and combines it all into one single typeface!
The sample will only display correctly at exact pixel size or double the value of this due to dither gradients that otherwise not show as a solid surfaces.
Basic and Extended Latin - letters seen at title screen
Superscripts and Subscripts - regular text font (only partial alphabet, as according to the unicode standard for this block)
Miscellaneous Symbols - miscellaneous dingbats related to the game such as emoji's and blocks to make seemless ornamental features like seen ingame
Halfwidth and Fullwidth Forms - regular text font but with full suport for both uppercase & lowercase, as well as numerals and basic punctuation.
Enjoy!
I joined Fontstruct December last year.
My very first contribution back then was a tribute to the great Dutch graphical designer "Jurriaan Schrofer". And many more followed.
These past six months have passed very quickly, and, much to my surprise I can proudly pronounce that I have passed the point of 10,000 shared glyphs mark. Totally crazy, I'd never expected to have been putting out such a substantial volume of work.
Thank you all for the kind words and the support I so far reveived. I hope all of you have been enjoying my contributions so far, since there is much more to come! :)
=======================
As for the new font,
It's not so much of a celebrating work for a 10.000th glyph submission but it isn't bad either, so enjoy once more.
