This is a really conservative design, reminiscent of the early days here at FS when all the features didn't exist. Yet they are well hidden here. In smaller font sizes, db Katalog looks really balanced… but scale it up and it soon doesn't look so round anymore. Maybe that's what makes it so. Perfectly imperfect.
In any case, I am open to any suggestions for improvement.
This font came as a fluke off of another font I've been working on since 19 July 2018.
H was the hardest to get right.
& is just a flipped g.
This design was created as part of the TwentiesComp. Too bad, due to lack of time, it was not finished. I realize db Pontus still needs a bit of time and patience to be ready (glyphs, kernig etc...) However, I just want to introduce db Pontus in this context already ; )
With this font I am late to the competition, but I still love Art Deco a lot. This is a clone
Decoreus. I love this one, which usually means nobody is going to like it. Thanks beate for coming up with the 20's theme for the TwentiesComp. I don't think I would have come up with this otherwise.
2020 Vision. It's ironic because 20/20 is supposed to represent clear vision. But this is what the vision of 2020 looked like. Nothing was clear. Except for the intuitive astrologers. As a group, they predicted things that were going to happen months before anything happened. Maybe we should start listening. This is a clone
Decorative, ArtDeco-ish all uppercase font for TwentiesComp. Got carried away and added Cyrillic too ;) Enjoy!
I made a font inspired by art-deco, which I really love. To more universal capital letters, more decorative lowercase have been made, which can be varied by additional alternative characters (o e i).
Beeinflusst von Kem Weber (1889-1963)
A-Z on capital letters, alternate Q, S, X, and Z on their lower case positions.
I no longer publish samplers to illustrate my fonts as my samplers aren't wanted. It's nice that Meek publishes them for me; for competitions it seems important that members are made aware of contributions and I appreciate visually contributing and being part of the working community effort.
But I can't justify having to bother him with requests to publish my samplers that I designed only because I made a new weird font for my own reasons, hoping to get some (helpful) comments to point me towards improvements, additions etc.
Kollarbo. Derived from "collarbone," except spelled with a 'K' with the last consonant taken off, which parallels the Klavika font, which sounds like "clavicle," except spelled with a 'K' with the last consonant taken off, parallelling even further because "collarbone" is synonymous with "clavicle." So clever. So, so clever.
Kerning coming soon. maybe. but at least the rest of the diacritics.

Under construction : )
Emil has a sympatic character, even if he has his little edges and corners. Nevertheless, Emil is not too eccentric. It' s possible to work with him and maybe Emil will go one step further towards italics...?
