A collection of FontStructions recreating fonts from older computer systems.
Recreation of the default pixel font on the Commodore C64.
This recreation includes most of the box drawing and block element characters, mapped to the equivalent unicode points – including a few in the "Symbols for Legacy Computing" range.
In addition, the font has been slightly expanded to include the right and down arrow, a handful of accented characters, and a few additional block elements. Apart from these, only the characters present in the computer's firmware have been included.
This is a reproduction of one of the fonts bundled with Thai DOS word processor CU Writer. As Fontstruct doesn't seem to have functionality for mark positioning or OT code, the Thai won't work correctly and the font will need to be built with a full font editor.
It seems this design was probably built by software engineers rather than designers, as there are quite a lot of odd stylistic choices as well as inconsistencies in the letterforms. If anyone knows more, do let me know!
I watched AVGN's video about Amiga CD32, and I've found this style is interesting.
Font has been extended by Cyrillic symbols and some Basic Latin symbols.
