The best possible re-creation of the seemingly unknown font used on a lot of Ben Bova book covers (and by that I mean literally 2, Privateers and Empire Builders), at least to my abilities. It doesn’t really have a lower case, just alternates used on the book covers or just alternate imaginings of what the other letters might look like. 100% free, and kerned to insanity for your pleasure ;)
Got tired of making little edits so here is a pretty much complete version with alternates and stuff. It’s called VCR Multiline because it kind of looks like the kind of thing you would see on a VCR or other hi-fi machine from the 70s/80s.
This is a clone of VCR MultilineBerlin, Moscow, Paris in the 1920s... Bauhaus, Konstruktivizm, Art Deco... Effervescent people! This font is for Stefan, the cameraman in the picture, and for all the people who together built the world. Alternative M and N in the { and } glyphs. See also zergei and zandrine.
2019 marks the 100th year of the existence of Bauhaus. In honour of this iconic art movement, I have designed my first Fontstruction based on the minimalist and structured design which embodied the movement from 1919 until the mid-1930s. In order to create this Bauhaus inspired font, I have kept to 5 different 'blocks', that create the form and a 5x7/6 size allowance to keep a uniform structure.
