Recreation of the main pixel font from Ocean Software's "Rocobop" (1988) on the Commodore Amiga and Atari ST.

This recreation is available in TrueType+COLR and WOFF2. For a monochrome version, see this recreation.

Note that with the outline glow, this font is 9px tall, rather than 8px.

Only the characters used in the game have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Cinemaware's "Rocket Ranger" (1988) on the Commodore Amiga.

The font has a few slight quirks, such as some odd kerning, and the "j" not being as high as the "i" (the latter was fixed in the DOS version). These have been preserved in this recreation.

The original only uses a limited number of punctuation marks. This recreation has been expanded to add more punctuation marks and special characters, to make it slightly more useful. Beyond that, only the characters used in the game have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Cinemaware's "It Came from the Desert" (1989) on the Commodore Amiga.

This font was also used in the later DOS conversion, but with slightly different spacing.

The font has a few slightly quirky kerning/spacing oddities - such as the uneven space for the "1", and the fact that the "T" and "Y" are pulled further left by 1 pixel. This has been preserved in this recreation.

The original only uses a limited number of punctuation marks. This recreation has been expanded to add more punctuation marks and special characters, to make it slightly more useful. Beyond that, only the characters used in the game have been included.

Recreation of the main coloured variant of the small pixel font from Factor 5/Neon Studio's "Mega Turrican" (1993) on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis.

This variant is used for the intro cinematic and end credits. Otherwise, the game uses the classic "Turrican/Turrican II" (1990) font.

This recreation is available in TrueType+COLR and WOFF2. For a monochrome version, see this recreation.

As with the monochrome version, this font has been slightly expanded to include special characters present in "Turrican 3" (1993) on the Commodore Amiga, and to complete the characters with umlauts (in two separate variations). The punctuation characters have been harmonised between the two versions as well.

Beyond that, only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the main coloured variant of the small pixel font from Factor 5/Kaiko's "Turrican 3" (1993) on the Commodore Amiga.

This variant is used for the intro cinematic, the start screen, and the highscore page. A different shading - very similar to the colour version of "Mega Turrican" (1993) on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, but not exactly the same - is used in the level end screens, and the end credits use an outlined white version.

This recreation is available in TrueType+COLR and WOFF2. For a monochrome version, see this recreation.

As with the monochrome version, this font has been slightly expanded to include special characters present in "Mega Turrican", and to complete the characters with umlauts (in two separate variations). The punctuation characters have been harmonised between the two versions as well.

Recreation of the small pixel font from Factor 5/Kaiko/Neon Studios' "Turrican 3"/"Mega Turrican" (1993).

The Mega Drive and Amiga versions differ slightly in terms of punctuation and special characters. This recreation mashes up the two versions and normalises the differences - picking the Mega Drive version's punctuation and the Amiga version's copyright symbol and additional special characters.

The Amiga version only includes the "ü" and "ö", while the Mega Drive version includes the "ä" and "ü" - but with a different position for the umlaut. In this recreation, I included both variants (as upper- and lowercase), and expanded them to the full set of umlaut characters used in German.

Beyond that, only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the primary pixel font (used for the title screen and highscores) from Rainbow Arts/Factor 5's "Turrican" (1990) and "Turrican II" (1991) on the Amiga. Note the special characters mapped to "lightning" (U+2607), "skull and crossbones" (U+2620) and "black heart suit" (U+2665).

The same font - with a reduced number of special characters - was also used in "Mega Turrican" (1993) on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, and the first "Super Turrican" (1993) on the SNES.

This recreation is available in TrueType+COLR and WOFF2. For a monochrome version, see this recreation.

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

This is a clone of Turrican / Turrican II

A thin proportional font, based on the upgrade shop in Bitmap Brothers' "Chaos Engine" (1993) on the Amiga, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, and SNES.

In the game, this font uses antialiasing, and is used both as a monospaced and proportional font. This recreation simplifies the shapes, omits the antialiasing, and keeps it as a purely proportional font.

Only the characters used in game/present in the console games' tile set have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Horror Soft/Adventure Soft's "Personal Nightmare" (1989) on the Amiga.

Oddly, for their Atari and MS-DOS release, they opted for a much simpler/cleaner font, so this quirky version is exclusive to the Amiga.

Only the characters used in the game have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Horror Soft/Adventure Soft's "Elvira: Mistress of the Dark" (1990). This font was also used in "Elvira II: The Jaws of Cerberus" (1991) and "Waxworks" (1992).

Slightly expanded to complete the set of accented characters, beyond the ones used in the French and German versions of the game. Apart from this, only the characters used in the game have been included.

This monochromatic version is used in game for notifications and status messages at the bottom of the screen, on a green gradient "ticker".

Only the characters used in the game have been included.

Recreation of the small pixel font from Brøderbund Software's "Shufflepuck Café" (1988) on the Amiga. The same font was used in the Atari ST and MS-DOS versions.

In the game, this font appears on the initial loading screen. It has been extended to include any missing uppercase and lowercase characters, and to provide some useful punctuation marks. The slightly odd spacing of some of the characters has been maintained.

Beyond that, only the characters used in the game have been included.

Recreation of the main pixel font from Brøderbund Software's "Shufflepuck Café" (1988) on the Amiga. The same font was used in the Atari ST and MS-DOS versions.

Extended to include any missing uppercase characters, and to provide some useful punctuation marks. One final tweak from the original is normalising the spacing of the lowercase "i" (which strangely had two pixels of spacing instead of one). The odd "j" which is one pixel taller than the "i" is retained.

Beyond that, only the characters used in the game have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Capcom's "LED Storm" (1988) on the Amiga (and Atari ST).

Gameplay-wise, this is a port of "LED Storm Rally 2011", rather than the more common "LED Storm" (aka "Mad Gear", 1988) arcade machine.

Only the characters used in the game have been included.

This font is an imitation of the PETSCII Commodore font.

I made this font out of a desperate desire to have the "commodore font" but under a liberal license, so I'm releasing it as CC0.

update: someone requested I release this under the OFL, so you can use it as that as well!

Tweet at me @josefnpat if you see any errors, or if you just want to harass me.

                                            Please enjoy, make gaems son.

Recreation of the main pixel font from Bullfrog's "Syndicate" (1993) on the Amiga, Atari ST, and PC.

Updated to correct the numerals, and to add the "ç" from the language selection screen.

Only the characters used in the game have been included.

Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

Recreation of the pixel font from Codemasters' "Rockstar Ate My Hamster" (1988). Slightly expanded with a few additional custom characters not present in the original game.

Edited (11/2016) to fix some of the characters, based on a more accurate source (C64 emulation of the game) and to include the "BLACK LARGE SQUARE" (U+2B1B) unicode character.

Pixel font based on Blue Byte's 1991 turn-based strategy game "Battle Isle" on the Amiga. Most alphanumeric characters are straight adaptations from the game, with the exception of the "b" which looked a bit out of place. All other characters were added to match the 5x5 grid of the original font.

A recreation of the pixel font from Tecmo's "Silkworm" (1988). The majority of characters are from the NES version, but some particularly awkward ones have been replaced with their equivalent characters from the Amiga and Atari ST version of the game.

a complete recreation of the original Amiga 500/1000/2000 Workbench 1.3 version of the default Topaz 8 font, with the addition of a handful of custom characters. this font is presented in the corrected, double-height ratio of 16 pixels, as it would have appeared on screen.

updated (07.12.2020) to correct the "T".

A thin proportional font, based on the title sequence of the Bitmap Brothers' "Chaos Engine" (1993).

Designed to be used aliased at a size of 9px (or multiples thereof).

Repackaged in 2022, with a small tweak to the exclamation, question, and quote marks, and the addition of the ampersand from the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and SNES versions.

Last (hopefully) final tweaks now 27/08/2022, fixing the "G", "V", "X", "1", "9", adding a copyright symbol, and tweaking the spacing and vertical position of some of the punctuation marks, referencing the SNES version some more.
