Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?  Many of us asked that back in the 1980s as we learned our international geography through a computer game.  If you played it on the Commodore 64, this is the font used on the computer readouts, and yes it was proportionally spaced!  Which would be why it wasn't resource-ripped before.  I had enough screen shots to work with, then worked out what the missing punctuation marks might look like.

Recreation of the small pixel font from Brøderbund Software's "Shufflepuck Café" (1988) on the Amiga. The same font was used in the Atari ST and MS-DOS versions.

In the game, this font appears on the initial loading screen. It has been extended to include any missing uppercase and lowercase characters, and to provide some useful punctuation marks. The slightly odd spacing of some of the characters has been maintained.

Beyond that, only the characters used in the game have been included.

Recreation of the main pixel font from Brøderbund Software's "Shufflepuck Café" (1988) on the Amiga. The same font was used in the Atari ST and MS-DOS versions.

Extended to include any missing uppercase characters, and to provide some useful punctuation marks. One final tweak from the original is normalising the spacing of the lowercase "i" (which strangely had two pixels of spacing instead of one). The odd "j" which is one pixel taller than the "i" is retained.

Beyond that, only the characters used in the game have been included.

Orient, from The Print Shop Companion for the Commodore 64 by Broderbund Software.

I never got to use Orient - my copy of PS Companion had two bad files, the fonts Orient and Deco (which were my two favourites from the samples in the manual!  Go figure).  Whilst many Asian-style fonts exist, they weren't as wide as this one.  Orient is much more... inelegant.

Characters are all that were in Print Shop... if anything I should fix the pairs kerning.

Block font from The Print Shop by Broderbund Software.

Using VICE, I used Print Shop's Screen Magic option with every character in the set to generate a screen dump.  I like Block because it's got the Western feel but isn't as condensed as Playbill.
