While recreating/revising one of my very first fontstructions – April 2008’s Asgard (second to last one) – I realized it was going to take something more drastic still than switching to 2x2 filter settings to realize my dream of a harmonized U&lc set.
The original’s lowercase had several compelling and unique features (at the time), the uppercase worked well enough in all caps display settings...but they very rarely sat comfortably together. The answer couldn’t have been more simple: since the caps (which surprisingly came first...or does this just reveal my noobishness at the time?) are rather narrow, the lowercase itself needed to follow a more logically elongated model.
Here the flexibility of 2x2 filters kicks into high gear as the original design’s lc is tweaked by half a brick extra height to bring about a more righteously rockin’ family.
(Asgard 1.x plateaued at 829 characters, so – as always – more to come...)
THIS FONT IS KERNED.
THIS CONTAINS THE LATIN AND GREEK ALPHABETS.
CHANGELOG
• 2018:02:06 — FIRST RELEASE WITH ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-EIGHT CHARACTERS.
This is a clone of ASTRO-DYNAMICS-ULTRA-COMPRESSEDI've remade previous AT Sour Love by adding serifs, it fits better for this 45 degree rotated heart. But as previous one, the downloaded font still has rendering issues despite my attempts, most bricks located at lower serifs change into other brick for some unkown reason. Holes in hearts were removed cause they too have rendering issues when downloaded.
Dornach is a town/village in Switzerland where I'm on a family visit right now. It's very quite here, with lovely people who always greet me, asian looking guy, with smile ). The "o" was created not long after LoveComp's announcement, but it's here, in Dornach, with some spare time in my hand, I could finally find consistent development for it. A LoveComp entry #2 that's still in progress, other letters and samples will hopefully come soon. Thanks & Enjoy!
I once saw a Macula font's ad here in Fontsruct and wanted to try to make smth similar with Fontstructor, and so the draft has been laying around since February (see the image in comments). This work is based off that draft and is more or less consistent. The result is similar to Four's font Rock Paper Scissors (and maybe some other fonts). Thank you.
