a quickly thrown together experiment in using four letters to form a fifth; lowercase, letters, punctuation come soon.
inspired by https://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/1620737/paradoxy-effect of zephram, who is back creating innovative fonts as always
This is an unofficial forum I have made for FontStruct tutorials and educational materials. Want to know how to do something, or how to make a certain style or effect? This is the place to ask. I am not part of staff, and am far from being the most advanced user on here, but will pass on whatever I can.
I have been writing an FS video series for some time, but it has proven very time-consuming to make the series as comprehensive (and as high-quality) as I would like. It has also occurred to me that I can teach a lot through simple text and graphics. This is my attempt to create a knowledge hub for FS where all the good stuff is in one place. If you make a tutorial or expand on mine in some way, you're welcome to post those here as well.
Please keep the discussion topical. This page is about tutorials, requests and discussions for them, etc. Idea Soup is more of a free-for-all and anything FS-related is accepted there. Idea Soup is also a good place to discuss tutorial ideas, since we can work out exactly what needs to be taught there without clogging the comment section here. (There is a limit on the number of comments this page can have, right?)
This page is open to users of all languages, but we may have to use Google Translate to answer you. Sorry in advance for any bad translations :D

A 7x7 design inspired by bows, arrows, targets, and arrow slits in castle walls.
It seems slightly Art Nouveau to me, although pixel art is not really capable of those same kinds of curves and arches at this scale...
As a kid I designed lots of silly "monster fonts" like this. I don't have any of the drawings anymore, but I remember creating this sort of design a lot when I was around 11 years old.
There was also a superhero called "Spiker" associated with this font. I never drew or depicted Spiker - I only imagined that he wore a red suit of armor built from cuboid plates and covered in metal spikes. He fought some sort of metallic Xenomorph creature, and that's all I remember about Spiker.
A design inspired by four-leaf clovers and rotational symmetry. It turns every letter into a texture! Some of them look like brick or paved streets, some look organic, and some even look like animal tracks.

A quadratic design which also kind of looks like a hedge maze viewed from overhead.
The idea here was that I had 4 quadrants with 90-degree angles in them, and I would turn or modify those quadrants so they looked like letterforms.
A form of alien mirror-Latin which the wizard Iacedrom used to summon mustard spirits. Looks like a forest which grew while subject to radiation poisoning.
If you make any ambigrams with this, I'd love to see them!
