Lines, times twenty-six. There's not much point to it, but I'm sure sure you'll think of something. Enjoy!

Inspired by the fontstruct logo,
I created this. Lines run through the letters. At the same time the letters should be readable.

I made this typeface as part of a project named 'Found Type', basing it on the word 'vibration'. I decided to make my font look like the visual representations of sound, looking at the marks made in the music program GarageBand when I recorded music on it for inspiration.
I created a structured base alphabet, and later added lines to make the letters look like sound waves. This is a clone of piece of pie

The inspiration to this is the classic IBM logo. I wanted to create something like it with a few additions.
1. Wanted more lines.
2. Wanted more jaggedy edges on purpose.
Here, I tried to focus not only making more lines to construct the glyph but also to see how two glyphs will go together. I will post a few samples soon. I like how two glyphs, when put together are making a nice kern. It's good to see how mechanical yet traditional this is looking. Something that I wanted.
Suggestions are always welcome.

I got my inspiration from the Chinese YIn Yang Hexagrams. It was super cool and I had to do it.

As part of my first project on the Graphic Design BA Hons degree at UWE, we were asked to design a font based on a theme. The theme I chose was motion. I started with a few different ideas and by sketching and practising on here I ended up choosing skidmarks found on the road left by cars. Using the lines that the tyremarks leave, I created this font. I've kept it simple, which is how I prefer my work to be. I think the clean lines that I've used also make it resemble the tracks of a scalextric set.
