For those who need to fill a long width with few characters, like the spine of a book or CD jacket.

Karuso. As in Robinson Caruso. Because it should be shipwrecked on a deserted island. That's where I planned to leave it in private (and you're probably thinking that's where I should have left it). Check the creation date - it's been stranded for a while.
This is the first in a set of text face experiments, and it reveals the beginnings of an evolution of high contrast fontstructing over a minimized grid space. Not all glyphs are how I wanted them to be. Some may be hideous. The spacing is terrible. But as a fontstruction, this one really got me to push the bricks to develop some resemblance of a Times Romanesque sharp serif typeface. Many, many tricks had to come in to play to make this happen at its current state. Overlapping bricks, brick stacking, overlapping brick stacking. It's all in there. I learned a lot from this insane attempt just from the lowercase letter forms alone. I mean, just look at that g! Try it at your own risk. 6x8 grid space, Double XY.
But don't worry, this is as bad as it gets. It does get better from here, but only a little bit, so don't get your hopes up. Stay tuned. This is a clone

This is my attempt at a circus-poster font. I have added international characters; thanks to the nudge tool, I have centered some accent marks.

type originally used to sign Aveiro's street names, in particularly, "Largo da Estação" - the train station square. It's part of a Typography project of the Design class from Aveiro's University.

the DOT experience continues...
It gives you an unexpected kind of FREEDOM creating lines with dots.
This time i doubled the resolution by using 2x2 circles.
Finally your eye can help making curves of any size look complete and entirely smooth!
Oh my god...
I see more possibilities now than ever before!! That technique of "dotting", as i call it, will make my brain bust, i guess.
:P
May the force be with me!

This one doesn't know what it wants to be when it grows up.

Here's one I've had on the back burner for ages but last night I had the brainwave to soften nearly the whole thing and it's gelled a bit more. Gelled or gummed, whichever takes your fancy.

I started out quite enthusiastic about this one but now I've cooled somewhat.

Itried to do something as useful as possible as a typeface for longer text.

this one will grow and grow in amount of glyphs, so if you like it, stay tuned...

2x2 upscaled. If only all the glyphs could be equally nice. Then I'd be happy. I would.

This bitmap font is based on little crosses that are arranged on a 2x2 pixel grid. Although the font size is 36px I had the best results with 128px font size in a PS/72dpi doc. This is a clone of Raketentim

A bit of a mish-mash of terminals going on here. One tries these things to see if they work...

When the half-angle blocks were first introduced I thought I would be the last one to produce an old style or transistional sans-serif typeface. Looking through the gallery, I still don't see any attempts. Creating a serif font with blocks is very much a square peg for a round hole, but I enjoyed the challenge. I tried to emphasis all the minor details, like angled stress, or the bottom terminal of the lowercase b. I spent a lot of time on this months ago, but after a while, just lost the drive to complete all the characters. Maybe you're up to the task.

Can't decide about that lower-case "s". I might try alternate cap M, W and N using diagonals but now my eyeses are telling me enough.

This is half-baked, but hey. I'm (reluctantly) going to have to forego some of those pesky diagonals because they're looking just a shade on the wrong side of weird. Particularly in the caps.
