The descendant runic alphabet of Elder Futhark, used mainly by the Anglo-Saxon and Anglo-Frisian civilisations. This simplified runic alphabet contains only characters used in the modern English (Latin) alphabet.This is a clone of Anglo Saxon Futhorc

A collection of runic characters corresponding to their direct Latin transliterations. The set contains all 33 characters present in the later Futhorc alphabet, and includes voiced/unvoiced instances of F, S, and þ (thorn). The character mapping is as follows: Lowercase chars correspond to their respective runes, except V & Z, which are the voiced F & S. || Uppercase chars are as above for ease of use, with the following changes: A = æ / E = [ea] / G = g (for gone, as opposed to germ) / H = voiced þ (for them) / I = [ia] / K = [kk] / N = ŋ ('ng') / O = œ / Q = kw (old way of expressing 'q' before a specialised rune was developed) / S = [st] / T = voiceless þ (for think) / Y = [eo] || Extra punctuation is included, as well as a combining underscore (for underlining) mapped to the 'pipe' key (SHIFT+\) || Visit futhorc.com to learn how to use these runes phonetically, as would have been done in Old English. A design based off of the Old English Alphabet. Complete with letters used in Anglo-Saxon. Q represents "Ash (ae)". J and K represent "Thorn (th)" and "Eth (th)" respectively. Z represents the alternate forms of "s" used in older manuscripts. Capital Z is the "long s" and lowercase z is the "insular s". There is no V, however, F was used for the sound of V. W and G are replaced with "Wynn" and "Yogh" respectively. I created the letters with the simplest squares i could use with the smallest grid, so as to keep the file small in size and easy to load up.

A practical rounded rune font based on the New Futhork rune set. It uses a short-branch vowel system and includes all A-Z (with a handful of special characters), punctuation marks, the 'stan' rune, the 'wynn' rune and many more ;) Download if you dare to delve the depths of this forgotten way of writing...

A follow on from the 21st Century Futhork. You'll find a long branch set, as well as a short branch set, some numbers (1-5) and some punctuation :) If your a rune boffin and would like to know my reasonings behind some of the runes I'd be glad to let you know ;) Enjoy!

A mock run of a rune set I made to be a stand alone way of writing in runes today. Will come to boast all letters of the basic latin alphabet, as well as a few compound characters. I will stay true to old rune shapes, but where change in meaning seems reasonable I have done so. *Still in progress!* A pixely-medievaly sorta font. I noticed that there were tons of 8-bit videogame-style fonts, and lots of old english fonts; so I thought, "I'm gonna combine them and see how it ends out!" Constructive criticism is appreciated; let me know if anything looks wrong or too weird! (I know, the capital X looks really weird, I just couldn't get it to work for some reason.) (Avádicus is just a fantasy name I made up. It sounds to me like the name of a mighty kingdom in an RPG.) A kinda similar font is Pixular, by LexKominek.
