An experimental  "8-segment font" that I made. It started when I divided a square into 8 parts through the middle. Out of those 8 parts, I would shade some parts to look like characters. Ultimately, it didn't make for the best font design, but I thought it was worth sharing.

        My design was influenced by walls, barriers, and the requirement for a division between our built and natural environments in order to protect us. I am a first-year student at UWE Bristol studying Graphic Design, and I made this digital typeface in response to this year's subject, "PROTECT."

              This font is based on asymmetry. Each letter in the font can be divided directly down the middle and by doing this yourself you will realise that the shape of the font on one side will be different to the one on the other. Giving a unique yet simple effect to the typeface. Although there are two different font styles combined, there’s still a smooth, fluid, outcome in the type, which makes the big difference on the two sides subtle yet effective.

                    Font from Noisia d'n'b group logo and Vision Division. Almost the same. N-Joy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzZ-ZQgx640&feature=browch PS: For alternative "N" letter write small "n". To type other characters use caps lock or shift.
