A punk in a suit: the initial inspiration for this font came from the theme 'loud'. My thought process was that actions speak louder than words, and the Punk movement in the ‘70s helped people through a lot of social and economic unrest; punk communicates effectively. Consequently, I approached creating a typeface with the DIY mentality of punk. I observed the approach of Jamie Reid, the zine culture and various band posters to identify with the distinctive cut and paste style. I then considered how this could be used to communicate with more than one audience at once while retaining the punk aesthetic. This led me to create a typeface which is conflicted between serif and sans-serif; it features jerky counters contrasting with chipped bowls; it’s a font designed to appear cut up and pasted back together in line with the traditional ethics of DIY punk. I have seen people with similar font ideas and descriptions. And they all have 1 Fontstruction, just like you. Maybe you have multiple accounts?!

Really like this font, the letters are each cut differently yet all obviously in the same font family

really nice and works well with your theme / thought process. Are the spacing intended to be so close together? I'd probably increase the letter spacing a bit. (A,B, C, E & F etc)

really interesting design - I really like the cut-out feel you've so successfully managed to create! Only thing I'd say is maybe have more letters come down slightly like the 'J.' I especially like the 'F' and 'M'

RussianGuy — they all attend university of west england, where they must complete a project: build a font based off a keyword. :-)
