VIKING is a false-historical font evolving from Elder Futhark Runes. This runic typeface is based upon the ancient Germanic symbols later adapted by the Goths, Anglo-Saxons, Vikings, The Third Reich, and within Fantasy genera, depicted as Dwarven Runes. ELDER VIKING is almost an exact interpretation of Elder Futhark plus a few extra characters corresponding as a best fit to the basic 26 upper-case Latin characters. MIDDLE VIKING is the second generation evolution Rune based upon Elder Futhark. Designed as a semi-cryptic, visually interesting type but intended to be almost-readable as a Latin equivalent (unlike ELDER VIKING), MIDDLE VIKING contains numeric runes and basic punctuation. YOUNGER VIKING is the third generation rune type which is a fully modern interpretation of Elder Futhark. YOUNGER VIKING, a.k.a. "SPACE VIKING" contains all upper and lower-case fonts as well as numbers and various punctuation.

Cool font, but why the K and the O runes are so small ? They need to be same in height.
Fyi: the ELDER Futhark is the germanic one with 3 aetts and 24 letters, the "viking" (younger futhark) futhark is the norsk one with 16. So your runes arent viking cause they are more. This is pure germanic elder futhark and has nothing to do with vikings. But thanks for your work, i fix the wrong heights by myselfe.

Obviously this is a fantasy font, as elaborated upon in the Description, "false-historical font evolving from Elder Futhark Runes." Creating more than 16 characters was the goal so that they mapped to characters on the modern keyboard. I took many liberties in changing characters from their historical roots so that they visually balanced (widths and kerning). The K and O in particular looked overblown in size, overpowering the presentation when "full-size".

Please note, I also included a question mark, exclamation point and commercial at. also know as an atmark. You may not be aware of this but the Vikings didn't have an atmark either.

This fantasy font is fun because you can actually type full sentences out using your keyboard, even though the result is false-historical. This is the "oldest" font in the collection, next is middle and the final is called "Space Viking". Before anyone comments, please note, I am aware that the Vikings didn't travel into space.

One of my favorites is the runes because they were lost as we adopted latin and other alphabetic characters. Good job.
