Recreation of the large pixel font from Jaleco's “Plus Alpha” (1989).
The uppercase characters are 16px wide, while the remaining characters are 8px wide.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
corrected the “-” and added the missing apostrophe
A very stylish pixel font. I like it a lot! :^)
Is this the first game that has two different character widths for on screen text? I wonder how those games handle text strings (for 8 wide vs 16 wide characters)?
maybe they stored the left side as one glyph, then the right side as another?
I'm with @Goatmeal.
You are agreeing with me, @elmoyenique? I _knew_ I liked you! ;^D
When I saw this pixel font yesterday, I thought it looked very nice at first glance. I was about to write a praising comment, then I changed my mind.
you're absolutely right, this font is all over the place
