The NUMBERS were the origin: This font has been created from the design of glyphs 0, 2 and 4, which was then extrapolated to the rest of the characters. Unicase with alternates. Thanks @AidenFont for the vertical stripes idea.

Somehow those outlined glyph contour sections where the actual outline had been left out is making it appear sort of unfinished.. I'm especially refering to those outline segments that are situated on the glyph's very outside, so not the (partially) enclosed areas. I think because there is no clear method of implementation in its current state.
I "can" understand the implementation when lines/strokes are intersecting. But for example with letters J, M, N, L, maybe C, as well as the "Solidus" (/) in their current forms look unfinished.
Dear @Sed4: You are a perfectionist and I love this, nothing better than your look to highlight my weaknesses. At first I chose to leave those endings open because I tried to close them and I didn't like it. I'm never entirely sure what some glyphs look like in a font before I publish it, and I think that happens to you sometimes, too. I'm going to retry it, but I like how it looks now (even if it seems ugly to you, hehehe). Thanks a lot.
And it seems to me that everything is fine! These open areas stylistically complement each other in different letters, and where necessary for ease of reading, you closed them, as in the letter K, R, V. Good font and good luck)
Very playful, I like it, the $ sign is nice. Good luck
I don't wanna call it "ugly" though, but rather "unconventional" is a more appropriate term. It's sort-of like the effect that those "open" endings have in terms of the trickery thwy pull on my mind. And perhaps to me the effect is at its strongest on the diagonal parts..
I can fully understand that it is just a matter of 'which' bits and pieces get thrown at the wall to see what sticks. And, on many occasions my fonts are exactly the same collections of "happy-accidents", "near" hits, and many "Nope's"
I can't say that I'm not liking a "closed" version though..
I can imagine this being very useful for imprinting words onto seared meats. Like using a pan designed with this font for maximum grill marks. Fun type, elmoyenique!
🤣
DaFAQ, lolz 🤣 @faux_icing: I almost pissed my pants man now u.. (pff 2funny)
ps: Now read its again pretending that its from this dead serious "Tefal" advertising brochure..
In an Art Periods foder this could fit into 'op-art'. Great eye-confuddling lines, good to have those white cuts to help see A,G,P,Y etc ...
Someone with such lively imagination is destined to pioneer great inventions!
@elmoyenique - Not only could the cow be branded with your initials, so can the resulting steak! ;^D
Excellent number sample!
@Aeolien: Thank you dear!
@Goatmeal: 🤣🤣🤣
@four: Thanks a lot!
I've been looking at the rates of the entire NumbersComp and I'm the only one who has received a 1. Something personal, competition strategy, mistake when trying to mark a Favorite?... I'm here from 15 years just for fun and for help people creating fonts, I don't understand this.
@elmoyenique: My dear friend, don't let the trolls ruin your day. You can't understand the motives of stupid people unless you take brain blockers. I like your work and gave it 10/10.
@elmoyenique - Please don't take the voting system to heart; while one of several indicators, it's the comments section where you continue to score 10/10.
Voting up or down takes a mindless instant; the time and deliberate effort taken to post a comment about your fonts (whether good or bad) and have conversations about them should be the better measure -- and you always have a lot of wonderful comments for your fonts. ;^)
@Frodo/ and @Goatmeal: Thanks a million, compañeros ❤️ ! I'm sorry, I'm just a little overly sensitive today.
All my best congratulations! That's amazing.
It gives me great pleasure to say, "Congratulations on winning the Numbers competition." I am so happy for you.
@Maestra Beate and @Master thalamic: Thanks a million, dear friends!
