Pane In My Glass

I started off looking at the word 'curves' and after generally looking at spirals and curved objects I decided to make the letters themselves curve. I cut the letter 'A' out of black cardboard and placed it in a glass of water, and then photographed it at many different angles and positions. I really liked the distorted effect the water had on the letters, and so after changing the theme to 'reflection' I carried on this technique with the rest of the alphabet. 'Pane in my glass' is made up of my favourite shapes that came out of this experimentation. -
