Hey Ladies! I started this in march this year. I was just stoked about some work of thalamic (i don`t know which font it was, tho), so i began fontstructing this about half the height, i think. While doing that i stumbled upon old stuff like posters from the early 30ies. Somehow all this mixed up in my mind, just to explain why it`s called histamic. Apparently in progress, like always! Come on, it`s free :)

Simply, clean, usable and very effective. It also gives the appearance of being slightly hand-drawn. Excellent work.

Really beautiful font!!! It doesn't look handwritten to me though.

And what's with the weird sample picture of a guy farting out another guy (at least that's what it looks like to me)

Not handwritten, hand-drawn as in painted by hand or something :) And that picture's from the game Monopoly, I believe.
Comment by Houlaiziaa 9th july 2013
@Umbreon: It doesn't look hand drawn either

Now I see the picture, It's a policeman dragging a guy into jail.

I like this thin design. 10/10 and a favorite.

Even though this is constructed entirely from straight – and mostly from perpendicular – lines, the serifs (or beaks, rather) that pop above the cap height and dip below the baseline bless adjacent horizontals with just the right touch of optical bend to keep the flow of things interesting. Z and S are great examples of how these small details bring an organic quality to the whole affair.

Histamic transcends a purely rational and boxy look. It riffs on deco themes that, while geometric, never abolish flair in the name of outright minimalism. Gotta save space that top hat monocle! Chrome sparkle and sequins for all!

Yet for all the high- and low-waisted glyphs and extreme contrast, the overall look remains reserved and dignified.

Classy yet casual. These kind of letters might be scrawled on a binder with a thick marker, or be big glyphs rendered on a painted sign with a flat, wide brush. Buried somewhere in this fontstruction’s lineage are even a few strands of Pixação dna.
Slightly hand-drawn: DJ Nippa’s right on.

10/10!
i wish i could bend my words in english like you do, to explain what i had in mind :)
I especially appreciate you feeling that twist in e.g. "S" in your first part of your comment.

Thanks also for realizing, this all could be done with a fat marker, cause thats what i love doing :P
Thank you guys for having a close look so far. i love this

Also, this is far beyond anything that thalamic might or be capable of doing.

Excellent work and fascinating how your use of straight lines gives this font a handmade impression.

Hey Gene, bro
To be honest i exprienced the lower case, but the only alternatives, who didn`t follow me in my dreams are NOT in it :) They all sucked! You are a brother in mind, you know about the "possibilities", so i thought you´d have a better belief in my choices _) Juat because upper and lower case are not really similar
