An unoriginal idea that's been sitting around for a while. Don't go by the January 2010 creation date, no; this is a clone of a clone of a different idea (which may see the light of day yet...or not, whichever comes first ;).

It looks fantastic. Why do you think it's "unoriginal"? Just because you've been inspired by Islamic motifs it would still be very original. The demo is second to none. Did you actually build this thing? :)) 10/10
@@@Guy: The sample is done in Maya. Extruded text, one plane for the horizontal base, one plane for the tilted-vertical wall; then different materials applied to different parts; and finally two light sources, one ambient, one point light. Et voila!
@Frodo7: I say unoriginal because of fs Etched. The result is similar, however both started out quite different. I guess I am not very versatile. Although I was not thinking of Islamic anything when doing either.
@p2pnut: Samples are a good way of showing what could be achieved using these fontstructions. I hope people do more with it.
@djnippa: It does look city-ish, doesn't it. Would love to see what you use it for.
@elmoyenique: This font uses one square brick only. I'm afraid it has limited teaching. Still, glad you find it learn-worthy.
@aphoria: I'd be happy to do samples for you anytime. :-)
@afrojet: You always find a way to brighten my day. Thanks.

I wish I had half your skill with the samples.
