  • Unicase font with a lot of alternates in the lowercase to improve the general playfullness. Also added more diacritics and accents, and remodeled and kerned the old glyphs. (Plus: other "1" at the "t", the 3rd "U" -and their accents- are at the "v", "ò", "ó", "ô" and "ö", respectively.)

How cool, the way you embed the diacritics inside the glyphs.

Comment by Sed4tives 29th july 2023

why is the 't' a 1

Comment by digitalio 29th july 2023

@Sed4tives: Glad you like it, compañero! In fact, I am using these latest published fonts as an escape valve, because there is another more complicated one that is taking up a lot of my time, so these small "deviations" help me to control the working rhythm...

@lucapri: Don't worry, I was just looking for where to put an alternate "1" and this seemed to me the best option.

I work in a similar fashion, working continuously on one large piece can be a big weight on ones shoulder.

Congratulations! FontStruct Staff have deemed your FontStruction worthy of special mention. “zimonart R eYe/FS” is now a Top Pick.

this may be a dumb question, but how do you make one brick take up a 2x2 space instead of 1x1? I'm sort of new to FontStruct, and I can't figure it out anywhere.

Comment by human790 30th july 2023

@human750 Open the filters menu, and then drag Horizontal and Vertical Brick Sizes to 2.

How did you create this font? Did you had an idea of making this look like unicase glyphs using core bricks?

Comment by notamboy 1st august 2023

Great font!

Comment by Better Handwriting 2nd august 2023

@notamboy: At first, I thought to just do the lowercase, but then I found out that I had designed some uppercase letters that fit well with the rest of the font and I added them. I like the "natural" curves of the quarter circle and macaroni bricks, so I used a 2:2 grid for them. It's a simple and unpretentious font, basically. The point is the different heights of some glyphs, that make them "to dance".

Comment by elmoyenique 2nd august 2023

@Better Handwriting: Thanks a lot! I don't remember clearly, and I apologize if I'm wrong, but I think it was you who suggested a regular version of "zimonart" to me, and I liked the idea that originated this font.

Comment by elmoyenique 2nd august 2023

If one used the rand feature, then there'd be lots more letter alternates.

Love the psychedelic look of it! Kinda feels like it would fit well on a Beatles album

Hi

Comment by Not going to tell You my name (jeckon) 21st may 2025

what happened to the lowercase j?

Comment by Kyyle 17th september 2025

@Kyyle J - Nothing "happened" to the lowercase j.  As the description clearly states, the lowercase is for alternates and not a full proper lowercase set.

Comment by Goatmeal 17th september 2025

@Goatmeal Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh now i get it i forgot lol

Comment by Kyyle 20th september 2025

@Kyyle - It's all good!  ;^)
