  • It took some experimenting, but I finally found a way to make caps that were complementary to the quirky little “small-grid” face I designed months ago. In an attempt to unify, I modified the LC a bit... it’s more boxy than the original (hence the name) but hopefully retains the personality.

a very sweet delight, indeed. very evocative and cool sample. the uc case really completes the font. i guess you never know about these things and sometimes it helps to be opens and listen. and then sometimes it's just a natural progression. lovely with a nice edge.

Good idea! And well resolved although some glyphs need a little more study ("L", "z", "@"...) IMHO.

And thanks for reminding us the great Herb Alpert and his Tijuana Brass!

elymonique: Truly appreciate the feedback and instantly saw the problems after you pointed them out. I think I had been through so many iterations of this that in some cases I lost sight of some of the basic characteristics, namely, the heavy horizontal “baseline” strokes. I've made modifications to L, Z, z, @ and like them MUCH better now. Thanks!
