Burnt Edge

Originally inspired by the word ‘Disintegrate’. I explored the idea of decay and burnt edges, this lead to printing out an alphabet in the font Gotham and burning the edge just enough to get jagged edges but keep the text legible. By scanning in these letters I could print them onto graph paper which allowed me to format the shapes to fit with fontstruct. I feel this font is more suitable for posters or titles than a page body copy. -
