First time using Fonstruct. Font designed around the theme of decay, focusing on derelict buildings and areas where nature has begun to take over. Whilst loosely based on the somewhat derelict font, Times New Roman. Welcome any feedback. (work in progress; mainly letter 'R') Best viewed zoomed in slightly.

You could of put lower case letters.

Keep in mind, this is my first fontstruct and this was done in about 2-3 weeks alongside other projects. Lowercase will come sometime :)

Great start, reminds me of a similar project I think some students were set last year, and also p2pnut's work.
It looks like you've got a couple of stray bricks in A,B or F which is causing a bigger line spacing than I think you desire.

Thanks for the heads up, i'll change those now.
Yeah, this is the same project as the year before I think. I was trying to get a different approach to the word decay, rather than it being broken or moulding away.

Can you install this font on your PC/MAC? I think you've reach the limitations of the font mortar, making it difficult to upload on to some systems.
Comment by djnippa 31st october 2010
yeah it seems to download, then change when i use it on word. Any way around this? :/
Comment by Joekozak 31st october 2010
additional note, it does work on mine just that I was trying to type not in capitals. My bad
Comment by Joekozak 31st october 2010
I just tried it on mine, it doesn't even recognise it in the view pane. When uploaded, there is nothing to be seen. It's totally blank.
Comment by djnippa 31st october 2010
Managed to open it in Font Studio 5.0 and the following letters are missing - B,M,O,Q,S,W,Z.
I've no idea what's going on.
Comment by djnippa 31st october 2010
If you do add more glyphs, you probably should do so in a separate FontStruction. It sounds like you're reaching the limits of what's possible within one file.

It works in word, photoshop, illustrator etc. Just a few of the letters dont work, O and Q . I'll take some of the detail out of them and see what happens
