You can also use the macron for the decimal repeater as in the following sample: Sample rotated 90 degrees so it doesn't get shrunken)
Also, both the ≈ and √ symbols can be found in U+2248 and U+221A in the Mathematical Operators block respectively. Make sure to have Expert mode enabled, then turn on Unicode Sets
he knows that rep. decimals uses macrons
