Another jewel born in good time! Please, don't forget the sample, Maestro.
@elmoyenique: Thank you for your kind words. The sample is coming. I barely finished my fonts and able to submit them in time. Kerning took a long time.
This looks very nice. I really like the alternate A..
The Åå appear to be missing the rings…
Russian text and translation:
вакцинация против ковид-19
защити себя и своих близких от коронавируса
высокоэффективна и безвредна
==============
vaccination against covid-19
protect yourself and your loved ones from coronavirus
highly effective and harmless
@BWM: Thank you for your comment. The Å, å have got their ring now.
@Frodo7
Sorry, but “высокоеффективна” should be “высокоэффективна” with ⟨э⟩ instead of ⟨е⟩.
Random text sample from Wikipedia.
@TH3_C0N-MAN: Thank you for your comment. You are right. I hope this is my only typo for today. Even Google didn't spot it.
This sample (the first) was worth the wait. I am sure that, if Putin sees it, he will use it to promote the Russian Sputnik vaccine. Congrats.
I like. I would say that it is a mixture of constructivism and ardeco. The triangular ending in ц щ can be repeated in л д, or a rhombus in й. By the way, the Modern Cyrillic competition is being held until May 06, maybe you will be willing to take part.
This is a pretty good b e e g and c h o n k font.
Very striking design, E/F are particularly interesting.
gorgeous
There is so much skill in how you have pared down these letters to their essence, beautiful! Excellent sample too!
@elmoyenique: Thank you for your comment. I deliberately chose not to mention the Sputnik-V vaccine. The pandemic and the Covid vaccines should never be a political issue.
I'm with you. My comment just was a joke.
@ Dmitriy: Thank you for your comment. I appreciate all suggestions regarding the Cyrillic script. The "д" have had triangular feet in a prior version. It made the letter look more refined, more sophisticated; I wanted the opposite, to look my letters more rugged, more robust.
Modern Cyrillic Competition: thank you for the info. A few years ago I saw the works submitted there. They are designer heavyweights way out of my league. However, I might consider entering the competition next year. I am very fond of Cyrillic letters.
@erictom333, @JingYo, @four: Thank you very much for your comments and kind ratings.
@V. Sarela (Yautja): The design of the E and F are characteristic of this period. The same solutions are not uncommon in 1920s posters.
This is an improved version of the demo poster. Typo corrected. The colours have changed to look more constructivist. I reduced the amount of text - the first version was too busy.
A sample of this font with 2 English pangrams and one Russian one…
@BWM: Thank you for your comment and the text samples. How on Middle-Earth could someone compose a Russian dummy text that includes all letters in the alphabet including the "ъ" is beyond me.
Congratulations on the TP, Maestro!
@Rob Meek: Thank you for the special mention.
@elmoyenique: You are very kind.
