Fantastic work of art. Did you create this for an MCAD class? Can you tell me more about the assignment? We're always interested in hearing about FontStruct in school.
to answer your question stewf, this was an mcad assignment.
we first used graph paper to design a font using circles, triangles, or squares. we were then instructed to carry this out on the computer using fontstruct.
i origainally used triangles.
but my teacher erik brandt noticed one of my pages in my sketch book. it was just like this, i filled in every tiny square with random lines, dots, letters, anything i wanted. it came together to make an incredible image. you cant really tell what it is, but you want to keep looking at it.
Erik suggested that i put this passion into my font. and this is what came out of it.
im glad you like it :)
Hello Stewf, this is Erik (erikbrandt at typografika dot com). Thanks for your question, and thanks to Heather for mentioning our class (Domo!). See a few more at "Typonauts in Space" on geotypografika dot com.
