Pixel Invaders I started with a much more round non-pixel version, when I started getting problems getting the diagonals and some of the round parts to look right. After a while, I decided to go 8bit so I could have a little more flexibility with some of the roundness and diagonals. This is a project for my Typography I class at DMACC. -

It would help if you widened the Word Space ... For Word Space: Go to 'space' (between lower case and numbers) and then open Advanced/View/Letter Width. Set the space, by trial and error, checking it in Preview.
