I am not a fan of the 'swastika' x ... and it does seem to stand out here. However, I realise that it is difficult to find another solution in such a square design.
A font reminiscent of ancient meander art. Each letter constructed from a single line giving them intricate labyrinthine appearance. Such designs were common decorative elements on pottery and friezes of ancient Greece and many other cultures.
My favorite glyph the "x" is wonderfully simple and has perfect rotational symmetry. (At this point I tend to disagree with p2pnut: your design has only a vague reference to swastika.)
The Russian set has some room for improvement (e.g. д,ф,я) . The "ё" is missing.

@p2pnut: I am with Frodo7 on this one. I don't see too much of a resemblance.
