This is a new collaborative effort to design beautiful patterns. You can submit any new or existing work as long as it does not exceed the 64x64 frame (1-2 bricks difference may be tolerated). Space between patterns: 5 bricks. It could be any pattern based on any type of symmetry or asymmetry. Filters 1:1. Due to the limited number of glyphs available, participation is based on invitation. Please, let me know if you want to submit a pattern.

Welcome to Patterns Forever, the new collaboration on Fontstruct. Such group work is always fun, and the benefits and results usually far exceed the sum of its elements'.
Because we work together on this project, we have to establish some basic rules so as to avoid chaos and confusion. You express that you agree with these terms by simply starting to build your first piece.
This project is confidential until it goes public (shared). (Remember Fight Club?) Do not talk about this project. I want this to be a surprise. Besides, I simply could not invite everybody, and some might feel bad about being excluded.
This is the MAIN COPY of this project, the one to be released to the public, and I am the steward of it. To keep track of who's done what, and (again) to avoid confusion, loss of artwork, etc., you let me handle this copy. DO NOT OPEN, EDIT THIS COPY, DO NOT CHANGE ANY DETAILS OR SETTINGS OF IT. To my best knowledge, FontStructor was not designed for simultaneous work by multiple users. We simply don't know how it might react to such heavy use.
Please, create a clone of this fontstruction, name it using your FS username (e.g.: Patterns of thalamic) and compose your work within that clone/copy. When you've completed your work, please let me know via the Message board, or a comment here.
I do not wish to exercise any form of censorship. Whatever you create is up to your sole discretion and sober judgement that it complies Fontstruct's general terms of use. I simply transfer your work, whatever it may be, to the main copy. In other words: you are totally free to express yourself.
I will copy & paste completed pieces to the next available slot. If you have any preferred glyph (a special letter, number, or sign) you want to reserve for yourself, please let me know it in time. I'm sure we can work out an arrangement to please everyone.
Keep your copy for safety, do not delete it, not even after all of your works have been successfully integrated into the main copy. In case of unforeseen technical problems we might have to rebuild the whole project from those individual copies.
You can submit as many works as you like, there is no upper limit. Considering your prior FS activity, I expect each of you to create 1-10 pieces easily. I have recalculated the size of the project (number of glyphs and number of bricks involved). I think we could go up to 100 patterns/glyphs without either compromising the download function or seriously corrupting the file itself. If that's still not enough, and the creative juices keep flowing, we can start Part II.
The license is set to: Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives. We may alter that, if necessary, by consensus.
This license bears no exclusive rights on your artwork(s). You can use, reuse your part, your contribution (but not others') in any future project of yours, unchanged or changed, under such license you see fit.
After the completion of the first 20-30 pieces we decide whether to publish/share the project or wait for more. We may vote on this, and decide by simple majority.
Once the project is shared, you may invite any worthy member to participate by giving the password and details to him/her. Anybody is welcome to contribute as long as he/she accepts these terms.
There is no time limit set for this project. It goes on until all glyphs are filled in, or we decide otherwise, or Fontstruct remains operational. I suggest a six months or a full year period. We'll see later how it goes.
Final thoughts. This is an admirable opportunity to work on such project together. I have very high expectations to see dazzling new designs and learn a few new tricks. Use the 64x64 brick space as your canvas, and paint a picture we've never seen before. Be original, think differently. At the end we deliver an eclectic collection of miniature artworks, like small multifaceted gems: all bright, all gleaming, all different: just like what we are.
Let the project commence. Have fun.

Pity it is a so big grid ! Mine rarely exceed 10x10 . I wish I would participate, but I am not enough mature with fontstruct for such big grids
@neurone error: Thank you for your comment. You are observant and enthusiastic as always in the recent past. I don't know what prompted you to write your second comment, but it's only fair to say this is a collaborative effort, it was from the very start. So, whatever praise I get, I have to share with the rest of the team. And I do, because they deserve it.
In fact, I seize the moment to say thank you for their great contributions. Their effort looks even bigger and brighter if we consider just how busy was everybody in the last month. We've got beautiful op art pieces, celtic knots, fractals, a tartan, woven fabrics, various decorative patterns of small and large scale, penguins, arrows, a labyrinth - just to name a few. There is even a series that looks like the Bose-Einstein condensate near absolute zero - a reckless design from someone who dares to be different. Thank you all for your marvelous works. It was a privilege to work together with you.
The project continues...
