This is my little homage to the great Georges Remi, aka Hergé, creator of my dearest The Adventures of Tintin comic series. He invented Syldavia in "King Ottokar's Sceptre" adventure. (The map here bellow is it all fictional).
Great type! I want to know how you've envisioned zyldavia to be in this form based from the land of Syldavia? From my perspective, the typeface has a very strong artistic style of the Bauhaus, as supported by the geometric forms, varying stroke widths (and a primary colour scheme would complete the look).
I love this.
Your comma, btw, is a bit higher than your semi-colon.
Wow! This is something serious. Pretty modern letters. The style, is a mixture of retro, bauhaus, and art deco. The simple geometric shapes, the abrupt contrast of thick and thin stokes makes Zyldavia very exciting. I only have a few suggestions for minor things. The dot on the i,j could be a little bigger. All the letters and numbers are beautiful. Punctuation: the comma (,) would be more visible if you make it identical to quotation right (’), the one that looks like 9. The [ ] and ( ) | should be thin stroke. The circles of © and ®, as well as parts of the @ should be thin too. I know you couldn't make them thin, beause of technical limits. However, if you ever decide to polish this font in FontLab / Glyphs, etc., make them thin. Again, this a beautiful new work. Congratulations. 10/10
Yeah, what Frodo7 said... 10/10
I love *this* kind of fonts! (And Tintin as well.)
I think M/W might look better if they were more like nn/uu, and the dots in the umlaut could be a little further apart.
A fitting tribute. And exceptionally beautiful.
Beautifully elegant modernism. Love the descender on g!
Wow! Thank you very much my dearest friends! I love you.
@iFutureMix: Thanks a lot for your support and kind words.
@TCWhite: It was a design election. I'm gonna think about your point, thanks.
@Frodo7: I'm very grateful with your whole comment, dear maestro. I'm trying some of your great solutions, and I'm with you about refine and polish the font with other program (later, I hope). Always listening your tips.
@laynecom & @Yatja & @thalamic & @four: Your words makes me blush, dear maestros.
