A reflection in history. This typeface design has been created for my first typography project at UWE Bristol. it has been inspired by Bristol's past Tobacco history by taking inspiration from the architectural elements of the disused Tobacco warehouses that still stand prominent in the Southville area of the city. After studying the buildings and making site visits to take photographs from all 4 sides of the warehouse, i started to look at how i could create the letter forms by using the occurring perspective of the building in relation to where i was stood. What i most like about the whole design is it not an obvious 'Reflection' inspired design and for me that has made this project a success. Later on this design will be constructed into a 3D word, where i intend to make the letters out of Red Brick like the buildings themselves.

Absolutely kick bottom, I love this!

Something is terribly delightful about the use of perspective in this one :D

Great use of perspective. Reminiscent of Funk_King's work (high praise in this here neck of the woods)

Love the frog perspective. The sample is good and accentuates your point of view. Should the bottoms of U and V also need to be visible?
